Located towards the back of the Clock Tower, the Clock Room is host to three pictures, one of the Past Goddess, one of the Present Goddess and one of the Future Goddess. Further ahead in the room, there are three statues, one of each of these three goddesses and on the wall behind them hangs a clock. Each statue is holding a tray. A pedestal in the middle of the room also has a tray on it containing three balls: A Crystal Ball, an Obsidian Ball and an Amber Ball.

At the back of this room, tucked away behind the wall behind the three statues, a door leads out to a path to the Hospital and the Park, though it is currently blocked by a giant bell...

Nate moves into the room, performing his usual cursory sweep to check the room for hostile corpses, no doubt with Conrad hot on his heels

The two enter and can see the statues ahead to the left, as well as the pictures and clock hung up on the wall and the pedestal in the middle of the room.

To their immediate left, there is an opening to a hallway running behind the wall with the clock and pictures.

"Kind of weird-ass shit is this..."

Nate tugs the magazine out of his pistol and starts loading fresh rounds into it as he moves up to look over the paintings, just out of curiosity sake, maybe even stacking some in one of the many empty mags he had in the various pouches of his uniform

"I have no idea. All I can say for sure is the people in this city were weird as hell. Even before all this"

Giving the pictures a glance, they appear to be portraits of the three goddesses of time: "Past, Present and Future". The statues just ahead of them seem to also portray these goddesses. Each one of them appears to be holding an empty tray.

The clock on the wall with the pictures appears to be set to 7:00, though it seems the clock is not functioning as a normal clock should.

"Well shit, where's your extraction meant to be anyway, army boy? I know I've got one due here, but I can't remember what the signal was supposed to be, so that shit ain't worth staying for."

Conrad just about bellows as he speaks, wandering over to the left and peeking through into the hallway.

"What's this shit?"

"We were to radio for extraction, but I've no comms, emergency extraction is from the roof of the hospital. Few hours from now"

He's deliberately nonspecific as to how many hours, let's just say survival was the name of the game for a while yet. He snaps the magazine back into his M9 and holsters it, the pictures were just weird, the whole thing was. Who the fuck lives in a clocktower? He looks between the statues and the pictures, trying to compare the two, before following after Conrad to see what he's howling about

Comparing the two, Nathan can see that each statue is in front of the respective portrait it portrays.

Heading around to be by Conrad's side, Nathan can see that a rather large bell is sat midway through the hallway, blocking off any further progress. It's possible it could be pushed to the end of the hallway, but it'd require some strength.

"Great. Want to try and move this thing?"

He's all too ready to work with the other guy to move the bell, though to what end he has no idea

"I figure you've got this. Why don't I cover the rear, huh?"

The man smirks, leaning against the wall and pulling a packet of cigarettes from his pocket.

"I'm starting to wonder if I really do need you around"

He retorts, shaking his head before bracing himself against the side of the bell and throwing his weight into pushing it, thankful at least that his milspec boots had half decent grip and he wouldn't be skidding around the floor like an idiot

Through great effort, Nathan proves to have enough strength to shove the bell to the end of the hallway, though it does prove physically draining. (Nathan -2).

Now that the bell has been pushed out of the way, the two can now see a door in this hallway leading out onto the street out back.

"Hm, yeah, real good job there army boy."

Conrad draws a cigarette from the packet, planting the tip between his lips. He pats himself down repeatedly before pausing. He suddenly rips the cigarette from his mouth, throwing both it and the packet to the floor.

"Dropped my goddamn lighter, kind of fucked up shit is that!"

With more than a few sharp hisses of exertion and a definite strain on his legs, he manages to push the bell down the hallway, pausing with a sweat beaded brow against the cold metal when it stops, Conrad's voice filtering down the hall to him only adding insult to injury.

"Truth is I've got other things on my mind. Fuckin' REMFs I swear to God"

He manages to catch his breath, turning to lean against the bell as he looks over the merc

"What was your AO? You have a specific objective or what?"

"We were just a mercenary unit hired by Umbrella to help rescue any survivors. I didn't get told how bad this shit was until I got here. I dunno why Umbrella's going out of its way to help the people trapped in this shithole, you've seen what it's like surely?"

"My guess? You guys are a front. A humanitarian aid effort, make their hand in this seem a little more legitimate instead of the mess they caused getting made public."

Oh he knew fine well what it was like, he'd lost most of his fucking squad to it, his commander breaking ranks and running like a frightened little girl, they'd all wanted to...But only that armchair warrior had, the rest held on to the bitter end.

"If I were to ask you where other members of your unit were...Or where I'd be likely to find information about Umbrella's work...Would you know?"

"My unit? Dead, for all I know. I wasn't sticking around for that shit. I wasn't gonna die for some useless civilian. I shouldn't even be in this shithole in the first place."

Conrad rests his shotgun on his shoulder, shooting Nathan a stern glance.

"As for information? Might wanna try the facility over the river east of here. Not that it's worth it. You really gonna tell me that some documents are worth more than yo' life?"

"You had a job to do, we all did"

Is the only response the mercenary gets to the comment about him belonging here. The other gets him a shake of the head

"My mission was to secure intel and extract an HVT. If someone doesn't get the truth out, this is going to happen again. Maybe next time, it'll be somewhere you do care about. Besides, we've got a few hours before exfil, trying to dig in may just get us killed anyway, we need supplies"

"Fine, I'll follow yo' ass for now, army boy. If only for that chopper getaway."

Conrad brings his shotgun down off his shoulder, readying it for use.

"Good, glad we're agreed. On me"

He draws his sidearm and tries the door to the outside, if it opens he slips outside, keeping a careful eye on his surroundings

Nathan finds that the door is unlocked. Opening it, he and Conrad proceed to step out onto the street behind the Clock Tower.

Nathan has left the Clock Room towards Raccoon Streets - Downtown
