A small lake located between the Observation Deck Path and the Terrarium Dome, the Lakeside Area is often widely visited. A bridge leads across the lake from one side to the other, though several parts of the bridge have broken apart as a result of a fierce storm a few days ago...

ah the lakeside, nothing was more calmer than sitting down by the lakeside, and taking in the atmosphere- there was a sure sense of tranquility, that was until everything got destroyed by the storm... Still, he paid for this tour, and damnit he'd see everything before he was escorted off the premises!

Scrounging was one of Max's favourite past times, besides shouting at annoying kids in the street.
"Yasee? This is why we should of took the long way back!" Inspecting the bridge, specifically the broken parts, Max attempts to see exactly how bad the damage is. He didnt fancy swimming with gators. Besides, it was hard enough keeping Jen safe from plants, nevermind ferocious animals... |

Only small sections of the bridge remain, and even then, they're in towards the middle of the lake. They'd have to swim it, though it didn't seem that far.

fighting the urge to strip down (because then shit would look really weird), Max crouches down and tests the water with his hands, keeping through the middle would probably be the safest bet. "you gonna stay right behind me?" It was really all down to luck now... |

Slowly wading into the outer edge of the lake somewhat, Max seems to go undetected by the alligators, though there are no shallow parts to walk along and Max is forced to swim. Jen edges into the lake afterwards, keeping an eye on the vicious beasts.

Slowly pushing through the water, it was hard not to remember avoiding vietcong patrols by wading through the rivers of vietnam all those years ago- Max was glad he somewhat kept in shape, not that he had anything else to do with his spare time. Travelling around the outside, Max kept looking back to make sure Jen wasnt struggling.

The two continued to slowly swim their way around the outer edge. Peering back, Max can see that Jen isn't exactly the best swimmer in the world but she is by no means drowning at the moment.

Presuming Jen would say something if she couldnt see the alligators anymore, Max searches around the nearby area before continuing on at a brisker pace.

Pausing to look around, Max can indeed see that one of the alligators appears to have disappeared from sight. After all, it's not as if Jen would've been keeping an eye on them at all times either.

Keeping his handgun above water in an attempt to not get it waterlogged would probably come in handy, for now he needed to keep swimming- as if i seen an alligator or not, chances are it wouldnt matter in the end.

Swimming further ahead, Max begins to near the other end of the lake. He feels a sharp pain in his left leg however, as something clamps around it and pierces the flesh, attempting to tug him down deeper into the water. (Max -11).

Max lets out a rather emasculating cry as he felt like his leg had been put in a razor like vice. Shooting down would be useless, so max furiously kicks his free leg as he pushes himself to fight being dragged underwater.
