Stage, Shweet

[Bern]

Succumbing to ghosts of the past once more, Max dives to the right, barely avoiding the sharp claws of the Lioness as it dives for where he had been but a moment ago. Firing off a shot as he hits the dirt in front of the steps up to the stage, Max manages to avoid harm for the time being, as the Lioness once again turns to face him. (ZL #1 -6).

barely recovering from the roll, Max swings his handgun in the lioness' direction, popping off the last of his magazine in rapid succession- the roll had bought him time but not enough it seemed.

[Bern]

Firing off the remainder of the ammo in his handgun, Max successfully lands all 5 shots, which meet their mark in the lioness' face and neck, tearing through one of its eyes in the process. (ZL #1 -5, -5, -7, -5, -7).

The lioness is staggered by the sudden barrage of bullets fired at it and as a result finds itself unable to move forward and strike out at Max for the time being.

pulling the trigger furiously, Max had become overwhelmed at the his barrage of bullets shattering the face of the lioness. His handgun was once again useless so Max decided to use the little opening he had to not get eaten alive and run up the stairs of the stage. If his handgun couldnt stop this beast from moving after it tore out one of its eyes, he sure as hell wasnt going anywhere near it with a pipe.

Max moves up the steps to the stage, with the lioness once again giving pursuit after it has taken a few moments to steady itself. It leaps forward up towards the top of the steps just after Max gets there, claws barely scraping down the back of the old man's legs, sending him stumbling forward. (Max -7).

Straight ahead of Max is the backdrop of the stage, a clear blue sky painted on cardboard. Poking out from the middle of this cardboard sheet is a small rocky cave, clearly not naturally made. Max could perhaps question the authenticity of this setting whenever he decided to watch the show here next.

Regardless, the shiny object can be seen within a small hollow in the cave. Now being closer to the stage than he had been when first he glanced it, he can clearly see that it appears to be a blue emblem, to match the red one he already has.

Regaining his balance, Max disregarded the Lioness and ran for the emblem, if he could escape without having to beat its head in with a pipe and sustain so much injury, he'd do it, heading towards the cardboard backdrop Max prepares his pipe in one hand whilst picking up the emblem.

Moving ahead and scooping up the emblem in one hand, Max finds himself having to fend off the lioness as it rushes towards him. A swing of the pipe keeps it at bay for a moment, though it is quick to swing one of its front paws at him in return, slashing him across the chest and knocking him to the floor. (ZL #1 -3) (Max -9).

crumpling to the floor, Max pushes the worries of the emblem, Jen everything else to the back of his mind, trying to plant a kick to the Lioness' eye socket and crumpled face, then smacking it with the pipe when he got a chance.

The lioness pushes the attack, scraping and scratching at the fallen Max's legs. (Max -7, -6). Kicking out at the lioness' face provides him with a brief opportunity to smack away at the beast twice with his pipe. (ZL #1 -1, -3, -4). The savage cat is not deterred, however. It steps forward, paws slammed down on Max's legs to keep him pinned down.

With his legs trapped Max decided he'd put all of his energy into bringing his iron pipe down on the lioness' head. Struggling against the powerful beast would just leave him more weakened than he already was, as he realised blood began to spill down towards his pinned legs...

Sitting up, Max brought his pipe down in a hammer-like swing, shouting each time he struck.

Max smacks the pipe down upon the savage lioness' head three times in relatively quick succession, though it is still not enough to either kill or at least get the beast off of him. (ZL #1 -4, -4, -3). Blood and drool drip from its toothy maw as it looks at Max in a weak and dazed state, before proceeding to bite into his left thigh. (Max -9).

Max jerks backwards as the lion tears through his thigh, with his legs still pinned and nowhere to go, he catches a glimpse of blood that didnt belong to the lion in a suprisingly big pool down beside his legs. With no other options he has to relentlessly beat the lioness' head in if thats what i took- before he passes out

Max manages to beat the remaining life out of the thing, ending the threat it posed. (ZL #1, Killed). The beast collapses onto one side, lying atop Max' left leg.

He'd have to crawl back to shake his leg loose from under the lioness' weight before he'd be able to get to his feet.

Clutching the blue emblem, Max realised he had done the unthinkable. It was time to celebrate yet however...

Max couldnt move his legs, which also meant he couldnt check the extend of the damage the lion had caused, but he knew he was in pretty bad shape. Crawling backwards, Max tries pushing the dead weight off of him (no pun intended), leaving his buckled pipe by his side.

Crawl

Crawling back and managing to pull his left leg out from underneath the dead lioness in the process, Max can see that his legs are in a fairly bad state with all the scratches and scrapes the beast gave him. The bleeding is heavy, which would definately prove something of a hinderance to him.

This wasnt something Max could just walk off, and Max had his first aid spray- however he had no idea what state Jen or Austin were in, and they might need it more than him. He pushed himself to hold out a little longer, grabbing his pipe and getting back to his feet, trying to ignore how light headed he felt...

After he'd got up, he'd figure he should look around the area he ran into for anything useful- but as he had said so often in his old age "one step at a time..."

Get Up To Feet

[Bern]

Max pushes himself up to his feet unsteadily, having been given quite a thrashing in that fight. He could only hope he wouldn't encounter anymore of those things. Wishful thinking, likely.

A quick glance around shows there is no further danger to Max in sight, so he would be in no immediate rush.

Max had already been isolated for quite a while, so he'd take his sweet arse time having a look around for anything useful- afterall, he'd earned it. When that was done, he guessed it would be the trek back to the offices. Maybe he could pick up Jen on the way?

He didnt like leaving Jen alone in the tower, but surely it was safer up there then it was down here...

Search For Items 10AP

Searching the area, Max finds a wooden pole lying on the ground by some empty buckets which were probably used to hold the food for the lionesses in the show.

Nearby the wooden gate leading out to the Front Gate Plaza, Max finds a medicinal herb.

Leaving the wooden pole, Max picks up the red herb, wincing as he bends down. Away from the stage, Max thinks about what is the quickest way he can get back to the offices.
