Located between the East Concourse and the now abandoned Terrarium Dome, the Elephant Stage has proven itself to be the main attraction of the Zoo. This fact makes sense, since Oscar the Elephant is the most popular of the animals, and is the lead in the Christmas Parade up Main Street.
The elephant stage itself consists of a large building, with a space on the ground big enough for Oscar to roam around in. A ladder towards the back connects with the room above, which is used to keep watch over him, as well as activate the music and open or close the gate. Inside this room, there is also a desk covered in various objects, including a Tape Recorder. A door out of this room leads to a small corridor, which splits between another door and a stone stairway back down to the ground. The door leads to a small store room, while the stairs lead to a small outdoor area between the Terrarium Dome and a door back out into the front of the elephant stage. What appears to be a corpse is hanging from the top of the stage's main gate, though it is of course too high up to investigate. |

Max runs into the room, he was beginning to regret never coming here, because he wasnt used to the area at all. At the back, he spotted a ladder, he didnt know or care where it went, but it seemed like a good place to start.

Jen runs through the currently open stage gate and into the elephant's holding pen, also having clocked onto the ladder at the far back.
The roar of the elephant not far behind them implies incoming stomping if one weren't to hurry up. Survivors Max: 100/100 Jen: 58/100 |

Deciding Max's back was already in more than enough pain, he gets a move on towards the back through the stage gate, and starts climbing the ladder

As Max gets halfway towards the ladder, the elephant clambers over the wall and into the area. It slowly marches in after him, as Jen reaches the bottom of the ladder and begins climbing.

Max manages to reach the ladder and begin climbing as the elephant enters the pen. It roars as it charges the wall the ladder is attatched to, violently shaking both Max and Jen who are still on it. (Max -3) (Jen -3).

the shaking of the ladder was enough of a idea what Titan would do to him given the chance, and pedals faster than he thought he could move at the age of 68.
"get moving!" Max shouted up the ladder, he wanted to get up as quickly as possible. AP List CLIMB CLIMB CLIMB 4AP |

The two manage to climb up to the top of the ladder safely, though Titan continues to ram itself against the wall every little while.
Emerging from the top of the ladder, the two survivors find themselves in the Elephant Stage's control room, with a couple of panes of glass opposite offering a view of the holding pen below they had just come from. Boss Titan: 200/200 Survivors Max: 97/100 Jen: 55/100 |

Looking around, Max finds that the room has the controls for the holding pen gate, as well as a panel for playing tapes.
On a nearby desk there appears to be a tape recorder. Items-wise, Max finds very little bar a Bolt Cutter and a pill, though there does appear to be a diary on a shelf nearby. Elephant Keeper's Diary When I was cleaning up the junk around here, I came across an old BGM tape. I played it to see what it was, and it was the old zoo parade theme. According to old man Joseph, there used to be a big elaborate parade in which they outfitted Elephants in Christmas lights up until about 15 years ago. He says Oscar was the star of that parade for years. I let Lloyd have a listen, and he's convinced that it'll be worth money someday. He said I should dub it while I still have the chance. I think he's nuts, but it might be a good idea to copy it for posterity. Oscar sure has been acting strange lately. He's not sick or anything, but he just won't calm down. He got so excited at feeding time today that he broke part of his cage. Nothing like that's ever happened before. Maybe I'd better have the vet take a look at him. Lloyd's been put on "emblem duty" this week, so he'll have to stick around longer than usual. He won't stop bitching about it, but he's got it easy, really. The dome is close to the front gate, after all. Speaking of which, I guess the dome is getting shut down toward the middle of next month. They're too damn cheap to tear it down, so it'll probably just sit there for years and rust. What a waste. Max picks up the recovery pill, passing it to Jen,
"you'll need this more than me..." Picking up the bolt cutters, Max inspects the tape recorder on the desk, as well as the panel for playing tapes, recollecting on the diary, and how Oscar was the star of the parade. Max also checks out the controls for the holding pen gate, he wasnt in any hurry to leave this room and go fight elephants, so it was best to have a look around. |

Jen takes the pill, swallowing it to ease some of her pain. (Jen +10).
Inspecting the tape recorder, it appears empty. If he wished to record something, he'd need to find a blank tape. The panel for the music apparently plays a short snippet of the recording for the parade music. It could be turned on if he wished, though who knows what it'd do in this situation. As for the gate controls, it could easily be flicked on now that the power was on. Using it would close the gate of the holding pen, shutting the elephant in. Max and Jen wouldn't be trapped of course, as there appeared to be a door over to the right leading elsewhere. Max has gained: Bolt Cutters Boss Titan: 200/200 Survivors Max: 97/100 Jen: 65/100 |

"Alright, someone call Peta because we're putting this thing back in captivity..."
Rivaling one of the cheesiest lines ever, Max flicked the gate controls to trap the elephant in- he didnt know what to do with the tape recorder, and he wasnt the type to document what was going on as it happened, so he left it for now. After flipping the switch, and catching his breath- Max moves to the right side door. AP List Walk 1AP |

Using the controls, Max shuts the gate, trapping the elephant in. The angry beast doesn't seem to much appreciate this however, and begins to ram itself against the gate every little while. It would seem this would be a temporary solution at best.
As the gate had shut, Jen had noticed something through the observation glass. A corpse that had been hanging over the top of the gate had fallen down on the outside as a result of the gate moving. "I think that m-man was holding something. Sh-should we go down and check it? He f-fell on the other side of the gate, b-back outside the pen, Max... Sir." Meanwhile, Max moves for the door to the right. Boss Titan: 200/200 Survivors Max: 97/100 Jen: 65/100 |

"Alright, you stay here, shout if anything goes wrong"
Max begins to climb back down the ladder towards the fallen corpse, jumping down at a safe distance. Max hoped the man had something useful, perhaps it was Lloyd, the man the elephant keeper's diary talked about, or perhaps it was someone unimportant, either way- it was worth checking out as long as Jen was safe from the elephant. Climbing down into the pen with the elephant would prove fruitless, as the corpse had fallen on the other side of the gate, out by the door to the North Concourse.
Perhaps the door to the right up here would lead to another way there? Boss Titan: 200/200 Survivors Max: 97/100 Jen: 65/100 |

Heading through the door, Max finds himself on a small landing. At the end of this landing, there was a door to the right as well as a set of stone steps to the left leading down to a small outdoor area below.

Max wasnt an animal loving sort of guy, but it seems they were putting on a parade for him. Before heading down the stone steps, he thought it necessary to check the door on the right. He wasnt going to let something slip by him, especially if it meant keeping them alive. Trying the door, Max prepares his handgun from his back pocket
