North Concourse, Wow, just... Yeah...

The northern concourse connects with the east and south concourses, as well as the office and the path to the observation deck. The hyena cages are also kept in this vicinity...

Max crashes through the door and barely keeps his balance, slamming it shut as Jen he stares at her in disbelief of what they just saw.

Entering the concourse, Jen pants heavily. She looks around and points out the broken bars of the hyena cage located just off the path.

Looking around, Max panicked... it seemed like most of the animals here were infected with some kind of disease that made them super aggresive, could this and the rioters be linked?

Max surveys the area, at least there wouldnt be hyenas crashing through walls behind him...

But an elephant could be soon enough, as a roar in the nearby concourse behind him alerts him to. Looking around from where he is, Max cannot see any animals or monsters.

There is a door straight ahead a short distance. The concourse also continues to run to the right around a corner just ahead.

Max decided that going around the corner may help if the elephant was planning on storming through behind them, it'd be better than making a beeline for the door at least, holding Jens hand and turning right with his handgun drawn, he braced for the worst and turned the corner. they werent anywhere near out of this yet, he'd have a chance to catch his breath later.

Rounding the corner, Max can see two hyenas on the path ahead. They growl, but they do not move towards them. Rather, they seem to back off somewhat.

Along the concourse, Max can see that a doorway to the office building has been blocked off by a shutter gate. At the far end of the concourse is a door to the next concourse. There also seems to be a path to the right just before it, likely leading to another way into the office building.

The office building seems like their best choice, there could be a way to contact anyone in the zoo, through tannoys or keys to other doors. Moving Jen behind him, Max stomps forwards looking at the hyenas. If they were reluctant to attack, then that was fine by him.

Max walks with Jen towards the alternate path to the office building, keeping his eyes on the hyenas..

Walk 1AP

[Bern]

Max and Jen manage to get past the hyenas and close to a set of steps leading up to the front door of the office building. As soon as their backs are turned to the hyenas however, the scampering of feet across the ground can be heard!

Jen immediately begins running for the steps.

Covering Jen's escape, Max turns to fight the hyenas. This reminded him of the time Max and his combat team were waiting for an evac helicopter. After hours of holding off the enemy, Max covered the escape of his team, holding off the enemy so they could load into the chopper. The Hyena's were alot more aggressive, but Max didnt care, all he cared about was getting his men to safety. Firing off 2 shots at the closest hyena, and another shot at the other, Max kept his poise and prepared to get up close and personal.

The first two shots knock down the targetted Hyena while the third smashes apart several of the other Hyena's teeth. (Z. Hyena #1 -10, -9) (Z. Hyena #2 -8).

Meanwhile, Jen reaches the bottom of the steps safely and begins heading for the door at the top.

He couldnt remember a time where shit didnt die when he shot it, popping off 2 more precious shots, one at the now gummy tooth missing Hyena, and the later to the knocked down one- before turning and running, his gun still aimed behind him as he ran, ready to shoot again if this got a little too personal.

The gunshots meet their marks, killing both hyenas. (Z. Hyena #1, Killed) (Z. Hyena #2, Killed). Max gets to the bottom of the steps, with Jen awaiting him at the top.

"Th-thank you sir."

Max hunched over, for an old man- he had ran more than enough today, he walked over to Jen catching his breath.

"Your welcome..."

Clutching his stomach Jen seemed momentarily worried until he realised, "just a stitch" he smiled.

Following Jen, Max gave one last glance to the Hyena's thankfully the elephant hadnt chased them this far... he had a feeling that things were going to get more dangerous the further they got into the zoo, but it wasnt like they could turn back now.

Max has left the North Concourse towards the Offices

Walking back out into the concourse, Max wondered what the elephant key would unlock... at least it wasnt going to be the elephant...

Entering from the front door of the office building, Jen heads back down the steps and runs to the left, along past the hyena corpses and towards the door to the East Concourse.

Following Jen, Max is glad that hyenas dead. Looking around as he walked he expected the worst, and the worst was an elephant.
