"I don't know. Freaks, cannibals... Whatever. There've been reports of savage attacks in recent months anyway. This just confirms it all."

Kevin says, keeping an eye on the stairway as Ari heads inside the nearby room to get Alyssa.

Ari has left the Staff Room towards the Break Room

"Well then, before we die a savage and horrid death from being eaten alive by these Freaks ... I'm Xia" she lets out a nervous chuckle, her sentence had a hint of humour behind it as she tried to ease the situation but she knew at any moment another one of those freaks could stagger up the stairs, her grip around the knife's hilt tightened greatly as she eagerly awaited for Ari.

[Bern]

"Well Xia, stay calm and keep away from these things and you'll get out of here in one piece."

Kevin replied, eyeing up the two new attackers emerging from the top of the stairway.

Xia found herself moving back slightly as she heard the stumbling of the two 'Zombies', however she did not move the all the way back to the back, she stood directly behind Kevin with knife in hand.

"Got'cha"

[Bern]

Kevin takes his time in aiming, getting himself into a comfortable position before firing off a Potshot at one of the Zombies, knocking it to the floor. (Zombie #1 -25).

Despite having seen Kevin train up his sights for his shot, she still flinched and coward at the noise of gun fire, having never really been accustomed to it. She saw the zombie hit the floor, blinking, curious as to how these things survive gunshots and how they shrug off the pain. If Kevin or herself would be lunged at or grabbed, she'd slice down heavily at the them, preferably at their heads and shoulders.

[Bern]

Kevin is indeed grabbed by the other Zombie. Xia's slash with the knife pushes the monster back somewhat, allowing Kevin to bring up his gun and fire off a shot, forcing the Zombie off himself as the other got to its feet. (Zombie #2 -5, -9).

Xia, in the moment, became filled with adrenaline, she hated fighting and hurting others but in the end she had no choice. Filled with emotion and adrenaline, she decides to strike out at the zombie which tried to grab Kevin before in hopes of slashing it's throat but at least score a hit against it's chest.

[Bern]

Xia slashes at the Zombie, though it seems unphased by the attack and grabs her by the shoulders. (Zombie #2 -4). David rushes over, smacking the Zombie off of her with his iron pipe. (Zombie #2 -7).

Another two Zombies emerge from the top of the stairway...

"Uhh - Thanks! But I think we got more coming, maybe we 'ought to get the others up the to the third floor now!" She strikes at the same zombie which had grabbed her by the shoulder before backing away slowly.

[Bern]

"You're right! You two go and get them upstairs, I can handle these guys!"

Kevin yells, firing off two shots at one of the newly arrived Zombies and kicking at the Zombie that had just tried to attack Xia. (Zombie #2 -4) (Zombie #4 -7, -10).

David nods and heads back to the main area of the staff room.

"Alright, make sure those two get out fine and make double sure you get up those stairs also, I'd feel bad if you were to fall to these things" Xia knew she'd only be more of a liability than a helper when it comes down to fighting these things, gestures towards Bob and Mark quickly then points up the stairs, she'd move away from the action and once everyone were up and gone, she'd follow suite.

Mark helps Bob along up the stairs, followed by David and Xia.

Ari enters the break room, with Alyssa in tow and spends a few seconds absorbing the scene in the staff room.


Enter Area 10ap

Entering from the Break Room, Ari can see Kevin at the doorway to the staff room nearby, keeping a group of Zombies at bay. He appears to have taken a bit of a beating himself though.

Alyssa rushes past, barely avoiding the grasp of the attackers. Kevin fires off a shot at one of the Zombies, turning to face Ari briefly. (Zombie #5 -9).

"They just keep comin'! Head on through and upstairs, I'll be right behind you!"
