Face it. People hate us hah! Kidding. But I have noticed that. It's a fad to do stuff on mybook and facepeople. Plus if you have noticed, once the Reno Airsoft URL went down the amount of people using this site went down.

As for me. Once I had my mi I me (oh she is so cute!! I just want to pinch her wittle cheekies all day long!!!), I have had my days off changed to Wed Thurs and need to find a baby sitter if I want to go out. Kinda sucks...

I'd suggest at least using Neondevil's stuff. That guy seems to have it together. His site is the first to pop up when you google reno airsoft. Would be nice though if more than one person controlled the site so to avoid power tripping. Though from what I know of Neon is he is a pretty stand up guy.

I mostly scour the 'net on a weekly basis trying to find what the upcoming events are, but real-life obligations usually prevent me from posting the information in a timely manner (or at all).

The entire site is built from a Content Management System with a permission system.
I've had the ability for others to add events for some time... did it for "RocketTravis" of the Elko group.

Still looking for volunteers to submit events. Also looking for a kind of 'field reporter' for the site if anyone is interested - great opportunity to get involved and earn some rep in the local community.

I did a little research and thought that facebook page owners should know they can provide event information from NV Aisoft through RSS (Real Simple Syndication).

You can add custom RSS tabs to your facebook page by using apps like RSS Graffiti or Social RSS

This will automatically add information (via a tab) and let all your page visitors know what events are going on.

Anyway... I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've decided that I'm going to develop a custom FB app that will allow you do to the same thing with a better layout that is less troublesome to install.

Still, I'm learning the Facebook Appliation API from scratch, so it'll be difficult to launch something decent in a short amount of time. Hopefully it'll be done when we ramp up airsoft promotions in spring.
