You are only allowed to RP as Canon characters. All you have to do is simply do a Roleplaying sample of the character you wish to do and place it in the character submissions. You are allow to take more then one Canon character or temp one.

The Gate
You can only access the gate through:
1. Human Transmutation
2. The child Rose carries around.
3. Contact with Vonst Helea
4. Contact with the Reapers.

When RPing:
(On Forum) Please type in more then just 5 words, or else it's consider spam. You may check Central HQ - "Grading Exams" for examples on how to RP. If you want to O OC, only O OC when you have a question. Your character may RP in as many thread as you want. You may only start three threads per day, and please make sure that you don't create another thread that already exist.

Story is taking place after ep. 22 and for the manga probably after vol. 4. Meaning Hughes is still alive and depending on the RP can stay alive. You can start up any RP ideas you have but please state what the plot is.

Main Story Threads vs. NonMain Threads:
There will be times in which you want to go through a history event that has happened before, like the Ishbalan Massacre or create your own storyline. Be sure to state in the first thread what type of thread it is so that the thread will be stored in the right section later when it's complete.

(on MSN) When Roleplaying on MSN, the person who starts the RP must say the Setting of the RP to everyone part of the RP at the beginning before starting. If it's a continuation of another RP, then please summerize the the other RP before starting. During RP, actions should be placed inbettween :: :: or * *. Keep O OC in paranthesis, and don't over O OC, cause it takes up RP space and then people will have to scroll up just to know what the last person said. If you want to talk with one person talk to them in another window.

NPCs:
Please do not use NPCs if someone is RPing the char you need. Simply PM the member.

Defending Character decides:

In combat, the defending character has the right to decide damage.

God-modding:
What is considered God-modding,

1. Not taking any damage at all.
2. Controlling a character.
3. Not allowing the defending character to react.
4. Transmuting or bringing something in out of thin air (really now )
5. Appearing in an RP all of the sudden in the middle of a situation, without explaining how you showed up.

[[NEOKUN]]'S OPINION ON MODING
A moder is someone who has a counterattack for everything, someone who never allows his or her character to take damage, and someone who seems to have an endless bag of tricks and unbelievable power, which they abuse. In RP, damage is going to happen to both players. There are special cases when a "boss" character or a very experienced player goes up against a weaker one and the damage dealt it extreme, while the damage taken is minimal.

While I believe it is up to the defender to decide damage, this shouldnt always be the case. Otherwise, we will lose the fragfests but fights will end up becoming dodgefests. An Example of how it should be done:

PLAYER1: Zeke spun and landed a swift roundhouse kick to Jake's chin, sending him stumbling backwards into a stack of crates.

PLAYER2: Jake climbed to his feet, wiping the small stream of blood from his chin. He dashed foward, striking Zeke in the stomach with an uppercut.

PLAYER1: He grabbed his gut and tried to catch his breath, looking up at Jake. He put up a hand to block.

And so on, and so forth. See how player one gets damage in, but isnt afraid to take a few hits? It makes the fight more interesting. Think about when watching a movie...would you go see a movie where the bad guy always beat up the god guy and NEVER got hurt? The fuck you would.

Now, I have RPed with the same group for 2 and a half years and we recently quit, so I am coming out of retirement. With them, we all knew eachother's characters and limits. I would never send Musashi up against Glenn because Glenn was an experienced fighter who had been in the world for a long time and had done a lot. But everyone knows that my character Arc would beat the shit out of him because he was very strong as a child and had evolved over a period of 25 years [in game]. We knew our boundaries and fights were always fun to choreograph.

It all comes down to the matter of whether you suck or not. A lot of you do, and are still learning, but if you cant feel your oponent and make a fight good, and if you cant take a fall and lose if you are actually losing, then LEAVE NOW. [/endrant]
