The past is as uncertain as the Future...

*stops and looks around at the completely ruined city that was once there* 'I feel like.....I know this place.....' *feels an itching sensation at the back of his mind and closes his eyes to let the memory fill him* A two-year old boy runs down the center lane of Xerxes, smiling happily, because he had just been given a big red apple, which was in his hands, kinda lika a football. The boy trips, and drops the apple, which rolls against the foot of a very richly dressed man. 'You insolent, shitty peice of peasant slime! I aught to gut you here and now!!' The nobleman walks over to the poor boy and picks him up by his collar, but the shirt rips. 'Damn you!' yells the man, who begins kicking the small child in the sides. The child begins screaming, 'MOMMY! MOMMY, DADDY!! HELP!!' 'Shut the hell up, you brat!!' screams the man. A large figure looms from a nearby doorway, 'STOP THIS AT ONCE, YOU ASSHOLE!' yells the large figure, 'KENSAI! Are you okay, my little BOY!!' yells a feminine voice from behind the man. The large figure moves from the doorway and grabs the nobleman around the throat, 'I aught to alchemize your body into a steaming pile of SHIT!' yells the man. Without a word, the man's head explodes off of his neck, and alchemical lightning sizzles for a second. 'You peasants NEVER learn, DO you!?' He storms over to the woman, who begs him for mercy. 'You will take this child and float him far away from here, and you MIGHT live to have another!' The woman crawls over to her child and gathers him up, 'It's OK Kensai, you live on and maybe you will one day remember us...' She gathers up the small boy and takes him to the edge of a small stream, and places him in a small vessel provided, suprisingly, by the nobleman, and sets him in. The nobleman steps over and alchemically burns a mark in the boys back, the child screaming all the while. Then the nobleman shoves the vessel out into the water and watches it drift away. 'Kensai!!' she screams after him, but she is grabbed by the nobleman, and her scream is cut short by the shower of blood from her now severed arm.... *he falls to the ground and begins wailing and screaming* 'This is my hometown........but WHEN was that........*lies in a saddend state for almost an hour, then rises* 'I must gain access to the Central HQ library and find out, but at least I know where I'm from and my name is my real name....' *remembers the stirrings he had when he saw Elorans beautiful Violet eyes* 'My mothers eyes were violet!! But.....' *he trails off in thought as he heads for the nearest train station*

She sighed heavily watching the world wiz by as the car sped off for the Central library. 'So much to do, so little time.' She hoped there would be enough time. She didn't want to get caught in the central library, especially after what had just happened. If any state alchemist were to see her there was no telling what would happen. She thought briefly of the family she never knew and sighed. 'I hope there's something that will help me at the library. If not I don't know what I'll do. I've been searching for so long only to turn up short-handed... I don't want to stop searching but if there isn't something here I don't know what I'll do. This is my last hope.'

As he is walking alongside the road, the hum of a car becomes audiable from somewhere behind him. As the car draws closer, he stops and turns and looks at the people it is carrying. He see's just a plain uninteresting driver, and a beautiful girl with...violet eyes!? 'Eloran!?' he says as the car whizzes by and leaves him in a cloud of dust...

She peered at the window as the car finally came to a hault. 'It's about time we got here.' Cautiously, so as not to attract the kind of attention that she didn't want, she stepped out of the car and began her ascent up the stairs.

After the car whizzed by, Kensai started running after it as fast as possible.

She had finally made it into the library and peered around cautiously. Seeing no one she proceeded to make her way to the shelves she needed.

"All right it has to be around here somewhere." She then proceeded to filter through the books looking for the select few she had come for.

As he continued running, a large building started to become visible in the distance. 'Not far now...'

She had discovered three of the five books she needed. In the process of searching for the fourth she realized she was no longer alone. She hid among the shelves hoping that she wouldn't be spotted. With all the people that were looking for her here, she couldn't afford to be caught, not when she was so close.

*stands in the doorway of the little library huffing and puffing* 'Elo....Eloran?' *sits down in a chair almost exhausted*

She peers around the bookshelf to find Kensai.

"What are you doing here? I have important stuff that I have to take care of."

[Kensai Nomishi]

'Well, I was looking at the ruins and.......then I started to head back, when you passed me in your car, so I came here to say hi....' *still breathing heavy*

[Eloran R. Peretti]

She sighed heavily and glanced around to make sure there was no one else there.

"You didn't bring anyone or see anyone else in here did you? This isn't something that anyone else should see. Did you walk all the way here?"

[Kensai Nomishi]

'Well, I walked to the ruins earlier today......but then I started walking back and saw your car..... Then I ran the rest of the way here.' *puts his hand on his sword just in case and glances at the corners of the building*

[Eloran R. Peretti]

"Why didn't you just hitch a ride or take a cab or something. You realize that it would have been a lot easier that way." She smiled at him. "I'm happy to see you again."

[Kensai Nomishi]

'Yea, well..*scratches his head*.. I'm alot more comfortable walking....I like the thinking time and fresh air.' *has a big smile on his face* 'I'm happy to see you as well.' 'This is some kind of library, correct?' *looks around and takes a book off of one of the nearby shelves* 'Funny how all of the information guides and centers don't mention this place....' *opens book and begins flipping through it* 'Aww, man....I've never been good at this.....would you mind helping me read this..?' *begins scratching head nervously*
