During the first segment titled Knee-Drop Guru on the August 18th episode of MBC Golden Fishery, singer Se7en made an appearance as the main guest.
During the show, Se7en revealed his competitiveness with world star Rain. He began, “When I was in America, I enjoyed watching Knee-Drop Guru. My favorite episode was the one where Rain made an appearance.”

He then continued, “I was close to making my American debut at the time of the airing of that particular broadcast featuring Rain. Back then, I thought to myself, ‘Just you wait. I will hit success in America as well.’ … When I returned to Korea, I expected a lot of fans and reporters to await me at the airport. But when I returned, the only person waiting for me was my manager.”
Unfortunately, his American debut wasn’t quite the success he had hoped for, but he’s doing fine back home now. I wish him the best of luck next time he steps into America!

[19-Aug-10][newsen]Se7en and his relationship with Rain

Se7en guest-starred on the August 18th episode of MBC’s ‘Knee-Drop Guru,’ during which he spoke of his relationship with rival artist Rain over the years.The two both attended the same art high school, but had no competitive feelings towards each other. “We did not have a competitive relationship. It was just that I was popular amongst the first-year students, while Rain was popular with third-year students,” Se7en explained. “We would both hang out with people who enjoyed dancing like us. We would just turn on music and learn from each other.”
Se7en also revealed that he was friends with yet another entertainer, Boom, whom he also met in high school. “When Rain and I [danced,] there was one person who laughed at us while walking by,”he confessed. “That person was Boom. He was what you would call the biggest star at our school. At the time, he had debuted as Nuclear, planning on becoming a nuclear bomb in the music world. He wouldn’t even [talk to] us!”
Se7en is currently working on promotions for his newly released track, ‘Better Together.

During an appearance on the SBS variety show Strong Heart, Se7en confessed that he almost ended up in a duo group with Rain.

Se7en, who recently made a comeback with his new album, Digital Bounce, surprised everyone as he revealed the story of how he almost debuted with Rain. He explained, “This is an event that happened between Rain and I before debuting as solo singers in 2001. The two of us almost ended up debuting together.”

Regarding the situation, Se7en said, “One day CEO Yang Hyun Suk suddenly called me and told me that we’re going to JYP’s Park Jin Young’s office. Without knowing anything at that moment, I met 20 years old Rain (Jung Ji Hoon).” In this episode, Se7en plans to reveal the events that followed after their meeting, and how the two ended up as solo singers in the end.

Se7en ingin sukses seperti Rain

Pada segmen pertama tayangan Drop Knee-Guru pada episode 18 Agustus di MBC Golden Fishery, Se7en menjadi bintang tamu utama.

Selama acara itu, Se7en mengungkapkan daya tarik Rain yang merupakan bintang dunia. Dia menyatakan, “Ketika saya masih di Amerika, Saya senang sekali menonton Drop Knee-Guru. Episode favorit saya adalah di mana Rain tampil”

Ia kemudian melanjutkan, “Saat episode yang menanyangkan Rain itu, waktunya dekat dengan pembuatan debut di Amerika ku. Waktu itu, saya berpikir, ‘Tunggu saja. Aku akan sukses di Amerika juga ‘…. Ketika aku kembali ke Korea, aku berharap banyak penggemar dan wartawan yang menunggu saya di bandara. Tapi ketika saya kembali, orang yang menunggu untukku hanya manajer saya. “

Se7eN dan Rain Seharusnya Menjadi Grup Duo ???

Saat SBS Strong Heart, Se7en menyatakan kalau, “Ada suatu acara dimana aku dan Rain nyaris debut bersama-sama dalam sebuah grup duo. Dan itu terjadi sebelum kami akhirnya debut masing2 sebgai penyanyi solo di 2001.”

Se7en melanjutkan, “Suatu hari CEO Yang Hyun Suk tiba2 mnemanggilku dan mengarakan untuk pergi ke kantornya bos JYP, Park Jin Young. Tanpa aku tahu, di sanalah aku bertemu seorang Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) yg berusia 20 thn.”

OMO… Apa jadinya kalau mereka bersatu ??? Bisa2 gak laku artis2 lainnya… hehehe…
