Site Rules:

1. This site is rated PG-13, so you should be at least 13 years old to RP here.
2. All major plot decisions must go through one of the Admins.
***REGISTER WITH THE NAME THAT WILL BE YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME! (space between first & last name included!)***
3. You must be sorted before you can post around the boards.
4. MP's are allowed, but keep to a number that you can handle so characters dont go to waste.
5. With that, it is with multiple characters, you have a seperate account for each.
6. Your master character, the first character you make on the board MUST be RP'ed for one month before you can make a new character.
7. Cursing is mildly allowed if necessary, try to keep it clean enough though.
8. Racial, ethnic, or religious slang, or that of any disrespect is absolutely out of the question.
9. NO CANNON CHARACTERS!! This means no Harry Potters or Draco Malfoys or Albus Dumbledores! None of these characters have ever existed in this site!! You may have a character with the first name Draco or Harry, but no cannon last names. You will be notified and have to change your name if you do not follow this direction.
10. We request that if you put text in where your signature can be placed that it is normal sized and not overwhemling to your posts. Same goes for single pictures. ALSO, ABSOLUTELY NO drug references or links taking to sites promoting such or anything else offensive. If you are contacted about it and do NOT respond nor take off the offensive material, the account will be deleted. If accounts are continued to be made with the same email or from the same IP and the material is re-posted in the profiles, your IP address will be blocked. It may seem unfair, but here at Prophecies, we do not promote any sort of drug use whether it is legal in other countries or not. SO DON'T DO IT!!
11. Also, make sure you know our CBox Rules and our Activity Status Policy
12. Passwords to Common Rooms or other boards are handed out by Administrators ONLY! Please do not share them.
13. Please DO NOT post while intoxicated or under the influence of ANY drugs. This is a fairly simple request, and you may be surprised, but it has happened .. thus the NEED to this rule!!


RPG Rules:

1. Drinking is allowed for Adults, and older students are expected to drink against rules and get detention for it, but if you are below Sixth year and you get caught drinking you'll get warned about doing something out of character.
2. No Sex Scenes, you may kiss, make out, hold hands, date, but when it gets to the sex scene just post after it happens.
3. On that topic, no student is allowed to get pregnant, regardless of whether they have sex.
4. All Adults wishing to get pregnant must first talk to the Admin.
5. Some people will be called upon to be part of the Major Plot, if you aren't there are still ways to get involved and there are options for subplots.
6. Anything you are asked to keep secret about the major plot, please do.
7. There will be a Death List, for those who want their characters to die, we'll find a way to make it happen soon enough.
8. No smoking, Adults may smoke cigarettes, NO Drugs
9. Fighting is allowed in RP, but don't bring it to the OOC boards or take anything in RP to heart, it's not personal.
10. Do not spam up announcement and info threads, if you do you will be asked to stop.
11. No Godmoding! This means posting actions of another character, it is rude and you will be in big trouble if you're caught doing it. So don't.
12. Everyone starting a thread must use a TimeStamp! It is how we keep track of events and characters! If you do not use them, or use them properly, you will be informed by an Admin!
13. ALL members must make a Relationship thread (and maintain them), the only ones exempt are criminals as they are hiding from most of their commuinties, evading capture.
14. *Amended 07-13-09* Wandless Magic may ONLY be used by adult witches and wizards aging 30-35+. NO STUDENTS may do wandless magic. It is a difficult feat and takes years upon years of silent wandcasting to hone one's skills. They'd have to practice everyday (with a wand, silently) with spells they wish to try without a wand. Simple spells may be easiest for most adults, like Accio without a wand, again, if it's a task they do everyday. But the more powerful, better trained the wizard (good or bad and - who had the grades in school!) they can do more spells without wands at higher (more difficult) levels.
