Cold but sunny

Mason stifled a yawn, trying to look as alert as he actually felt, but knowing that a yawn would not fit that image. He nodded to the students passing him, hating this day and what it represented. He knew it meant that they had failed to protect Hogwarts and he knew that the whole Wizarding World saw it that way as well.

The students at the school meant safety and peace, their departure was the beginning of a very dark time, and it made Mason's heart ache to see it actually ome to pass. Once again, he ignored the seperation of houses as the students filed inside the train cars, that didn't matter, only safety mattered.

OOC: This is the official start of evacuations. You can have students getting ready for it, packing and what not, but NO 3rd or 4th years are to post at Hogwarts after this date and time. Thank you.

[Professor John Locke]

John was back on the pace for the second day in a row. He was tired, but not less aware and alert of things around. The air was very brisk this morning, and it hurried the process along as the students hustled to break into the warmth of their chosen train car. The Third and Fourth years, always acting like their years at Hogwarts had made them the coolest folks on the planet, hid their fear better than the First and Second years had, but it was still evident. John patted some of his closer students on the shoulder as they passed and assisted some of the ladies with their bags.

As he had at about this time yesterday, John extended the volume of his voice, "Hustle on board, Ladies and Gentlemen," he said calmly, "Out of the cold on on our way, they'll be time for chatter on the train," he assured them. Lowering the volume of his voice he sighed. The absence of Sabine seemed more evident today, and John wondered about her well being. He was furious with the choice she had made of going after Nathan like they all told her not to, and thus supported the Headmaster's promised decision, but he feared that it would become a regret should something happen to her. As of now, though, he had to make sure nothing would happen to his students.

[Lilia Hyde]

Lilia walked into the station, carry Malli in her hands. She pet the tortoiseshell with stokes of her hand, letting the purr of her cat take over the main portion of her mind. She didn't want to think about what awaited her at home, wondering if since last year there had been anymore 'sightings' of her mother by her father. Shelia and him had seemed on okay terms when she had left for Hogwarts this year, but that meant nothing about now. It was then she wondered about what she supposed was her step-sister...or half-sister, Gwen.

Her thoughts cleared with Locke's announcement, and she held on tightly to Malli as she entered the train. She found an empty compartment, walked in, and closed the door, putting Mali on the seat next to her. She gave one longing glance out of her window before turning around. Malli came and curled herself on Lilia's lap, and the young girl let a smile come on her face.

"We'll be all right, won't we Malli?" she asked, and her cat gave a little meow. She smiled a little again, tilting her head back and closing her eyes; absentmindedly stroking her tortoiseshell cat.
