I haven't, personally, heard this band's music, but i hear that they are similar to Clazziquai.

Fantastic Plastic Machine (They're Japanese, i believe).

I also read, somewhere, that Clazziquai is going to perform with them.

I've heard Night Scene and a couple of other songs. I really liked Night Scene (it seemed more like CZQ), but I agree with your statement. I want to hear more of their music. argh.gif EDIT: Now that I've listened to their whole album, I think they sound a lot like Nell. blank.gif A little like LOVEHOLIC, too~

For those who said that CZQ is like Rollercoaster, it looks like a lot of people agree. sigh.gif

QUOTE (ultranguik @ Oct 21 2005, 02:46 AM)
last month i saw this trio on KBS, their music is similar to clazziquai too, the female singer usually wears cowboy hats,
does anybody know their name?

That's Rumble Fish, not really sure if it fits the "Clazziquai" category though... sigh.gif I think that they're more into the kinda... screaming/rockish sound?? *sucks at explaining*

wow, i see Humming Urban Stereo finally gets a mention. Let's see what hasn't been mentioned here yet. These are all Korean bands, by the way.

electro pop:

Oldfish
Mogi
Byul (not the female singer; this is more quiet bubble synth electronica)
Dalpalan (but, only his Mozosonyon album with Byungjin)
Espionne (DJ Soulscape's alter ego)
Fortune Cookie
Hockee
Portable Groove 09
Siderique
Tweedle Dumb
Romantic Couch (but, they're deep house)
Rossy Punky Perfume
The 1st LeShop with Vistee Square

happy pop-rock:

Peppertones
Beautiful Days
BeBe
Candy Man
My Aunt Mary (some songs)
Dorothy Band
Jelly(fish) Boys
Sixteen
O Rock Shil
TheThe
Where The Story Ends **(I find it hard to believe that no one mentioned this band, especially on this site considering that they are part of the Fluxus Music label)**
La-Il
Sugar Donut (but, they're pop punk)
I Love J.H. (emo pop-punk w/ female singer)

These are just off the top of my head.

It's too bad that you guys are only looking for bands that sound like Clazziquai and Loveholic only. I assume you guys are looking for happy and energetic (w/ a mix of electronica) music. I'd recommend so much more (like ZzzAam, Starry Eyed, The Cat House, 13 Steps, Gazaebal, etc.) if you guys were just looking for Korean indie music in general.

If you like Nell, check out Grayscale. Maybe Yenda too (maybe).

If Rumble Fish is supposed to sound like Loveholic, then i have a page list of bands you guys should look up.

There're a bunch of band like Love Holic i think :).
My recommended ones:
I love JH
The Breeze
Sweater
My Aunt Mary
Julia Hart
Hockee (She does not sing, she just whispers and its way too cute)
Jaurim
A.bridge

As for bands like Clazziquai that I like:
Where the story ends (for sure)
Oldfish
Misty Blue
Jeppet (their music is a bit different)
Rollercoaster
Humming Urban Stereo

Wow, you guys listen to a lot of unknown bands! o_o I've only heard about 5 of the bands jksl listed. dead.gif

I tried Romantic Couch's latest album once, and the songs seemed repetitive, or at least the beginnings did. o_o I think I understand more what house is now, though. (I suck with classifying genre. argh.gif) And Oldfish was a fun and interesting listen. Rollercoaster is good too, but I can't finish a full album in one sitting for some reason. I really liked Portable Groove 09's single, but I haven't had a chance to listen to more of their music. T_T I only liked one or two songs from LOVE&POP's album. HUS is cute and addicting but I really wish DJ Jeereen (or whoever the male vocalist is) wouldn't sing. >_< I'm really glad I tried My Auny Mary and W! FLUXUS Music really has a lot of great artists. smile.gif I just need to try Yi Sungil now...

Hmm, Gazaebal sparks an interest because of their song with Casker. Ack, and I still haven't tried Sweater like I said I would a year ago. =_=;; I forgot if I liked the one Peppertone song I listened to, but I still need to give them a try sometime soon. @_@

Anyway, I like all these bands and all but they seem just mediocre compared to Clazziquai Project. >_< I guess that's because every band is different, duh. =_=;; (Okay, I'm just talking to myself now... and procrastinating at 3 in the morning. T_T)

mm...out of all these bands, i have to say only jaurim comes close to the quality of czq's music....theyre a totally diff. style, but theyre still amazing. yuna's voice is...<3 oh its so amazing!

I think Humming Urban Stereo is similar to Clazziquai. They're pretty good (but I prefer Clazziquai). Maybe you'll like them more than I do. Check them out~

I have a link to one of their songs. I hope I'm allowed to post links. :x Please tell me if you can't.

Hmm, as I listen to more HUS and Casker, I'm starting to make a distinction among their styles. They may fall into the same genre, but I think they all have different sounds.

Ack, I don't like that song, Loveli. sigh.gif I don't like it when Jeereen sings in his songs... >_<;; And I've tried Peppertones a few times, but never really got the connection. I haven't heard of Missing Island or Adult Child and haven't tried Tearliner yet. argh.gif

I just found out about a Japanese group called Cargo, though. I've only heard a few songs, but they also fall into this category: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GBpugXTRI4 What do you guys think?

Haha~ I just realized you already posted HUS as a recommendation. x_x

Aw. I like that song. Oh well, everyone has different tastes. I actually like Insomnia more than Baby Love, but I'm not sure if there's a music video for Insomnia. [Triangular is good too~ (: ]

Has anyone suggested Donawhale for Loveholic yet? Sooo good! *_*

And for electro-pop, maybe you can check out Blue Sorbet. I think they lean more on the pop genre though.

Oh, that's okay! I don't really think they're all that alike anymore, anyway. >_< I'm kind of falling out of HUS lately. x_x I still have yet to try Instant Romantic Floor's new album.

I really like the song you posted!!!! O_O The only thing is the girl's melody didn't seem to fit into the song a lot, but she has a good voice and the song is super catchy!! And they're from Lupin Records, too! O_O Do you have anymore songs?? o_o;;

I actually don't have anything else. x: I just found them on Youtube while I was randomly searching. Pop-like chorus huh?

Here's something from Donawhale for Loveholic lovers (they are actually krock, but this song isn't much)
