Port Mercer began as a quaint, bustling port on the east coast of Georgia... quaint, besides its tendency to attract the wrong kind of attention. It was common knowledge that the docks, along with various establishments downtown, were infested with pirates. But something drove them out of their safe harbour and the town was left to languish for nearly a century, something the few townsfolk that remembered did not speak of.
Most from the neighbouring cities were still afraid to settle there, even with the pirates long gone. Then came the civil war, bringing it back to life- at a price. The town's strange reputation resurfaced once more, however this time it was from the talk of ghosts instead.
But prosperity was not to shine over Port Mercer forever. It was eventually overshadowed by the neighbouring town of Savannah, and fell into obscurity once more.

January 31st, 2009Scarlett Hart died on Jan 19 2009, by 'animal attack'. The Police arrived at the scene 6 hours after the incident had happened. When first looking at the victims employment status, they just assumed that it was just another prostitute murder. But with further investigation and a biopsy they noticed the strange marking or bite marks on her neck. They have no other evidence to accuse any of the citizens of a murder, and are for now leaving it as an animal attack.January 28th, 2009A number of businesses on Suffolk Row are now open, including a tattoo parlour, hair salon and cupcake store.  January 16th, 2008 Hobby and Figure has just opened it's comic book section, come check it out! December 23rd, 2008 The Cedar Arena has been decorated for the winter, so now's a great time if you've been meaning to visit! A number of stores in the Fashion District have done it too! November 16th, 2008 In addition to the new Stoneridge Institute of Art and Design, a Henri Bendel, Louis Vuitton, Chintz & Co., Sportchek, Hobby and Figure, Dior Homme, Barney's New York, and Victoria's Secret have popped up in uptown. Merteuil Luxury Apartments has begun taking offers as well. October 3rd, 2008An amendment has been made to the town rules.
