Port Mercer began as a quaint, bustling port on the east coast of Georgia... quaint, besides its tendency to attract the wrong kind of attention. It was common knowledge that the docks, along with various establishments downtown, were infested with pirates. But something drove them out of their safe harbour and the town was left to languish for nearly a century, something the few townsfolk that remembered did not speak of.
Most from the neighbouring cities were still afraid to settle there, even with the pirates long gone. Then came the civil war, bringing it back to life- at a price. The town's strange reputation resurfaced once more, however this time it was from the talk of ghosts instead.
But prosperity was not to shine over Port Mercer forever. It was eventually overshadowed by the neighbouring town of Savannah, and fell into obscurity once more.

"Come on you baby," Felix climbed the last few stairs before wiping off her shirt and turning back to face him, grinning as she did. "I win. Beat you and everything," She smirked, fixing the hem of her skirt as she rested her hands on her hips. "Bet you didn't even know I owned a skirt. I live to surprise," She raised an eyebrow slightly. "Well.... you know what I mean. Not live necessarily but... you get it," She waved off the distinction and stepped forward, turning in place as she walked and humming softly to occupy the empty space. "Daveyyyy," She sang, fixing the fallen strap of her tank top before grinning at him. "C'mon you annoying brat,"

"I know, right? I don't know how to react to it. I hate when it's too quiet. Like sometimes the garden at the house is a little too quiet," She shrugged a shoulder and stepped back away from, turning in small circles as she ran her hands through his hair. "No jumping, Davey," She called over to him, resting her hand on her hip as she spoke. "I don't want you to jump off of the roof. If we race back, I think that's cheating," She shook her head. "Hey!" She stepped back towards him, glaring a bit at him before poking him in the side. "You most definitely do need an invite,"

Vika had been mindlessly wandering around the outskirts of town for a while, and somehow ended up in the munitions plant. Well, that was what it smelled like. A little gunpowder here and there. And then...vampires. She stiffened for a second and looked up in the distance- there they were.
"Hello there," she said as she grabbed ahold of the ladder and leapt up onto the roof and approached the two from a distance.

"Dreaded TV? Davis, you act like you don't love it! Come now..." She shook her head and stepped back towards him, already sliding one hand up his shirt as she tilted her head to kiss his jaw lightly. "I think you should watch it with me tonight. There's that one show I like to watch, the one about those people who think that they can cook and the British prick who yells at them... you'd like that one. He's quite mean," She slid her lips to the base of his neck, smirking slightly as she pushed her hand higher. "And then maybe you'll get an invite. But I really can't say now. Depends how much you complain about-"
Felix broke off mid sentence, glancing up in slight surprise as a third vampire joined them and raising an eyebrow slightly. Prior to this, her only interaction with other vampires within the town lines was fairly limited, ranging only from Davis to Lilith and back again. But this was one of her kind she could honestly say she had never met before. Offering a somewhat abashed smile, akin to something a naughty or misbehaved child might offer when confronted by a parent, Felix pulled her hand back as subtly as she could manage and tilted her head as she took a half step away from him for good measure. "Hi!" She called brightly, resting her hands on her back as she smiled. "Um... how are you?"

"I'm fine," Vika nodded courteously to the couple (well, they seemed like it). "New in town?" she asked them both and looked over the roof and down into the forest. Something was there...She could hear them howling on some nights, but maybe it was just her.

"Not quite...but I do leave every once in a while. I don't like hunting humans in town," she replied- less of a challenge. After all, she had heard it was more like elder territory. Vika had lived long enough but she didn't want to cross their paths. They wouldn't do you any harm, but if they wanted you, you didn't refuse unless you did not value your 'life'. She would have rather died than join their snotty ranks. Ick.
"I assume you're...full time vegetarians?" she asked. That was sort of nice, being able to stay in town so often.

Vika knew what she meant. Those kids that stared at her funny in school. Looking up vampires in their spare time, avoiding her in the halls.
"That's nice," she grinned. "I'm Vika, by the way...an 'omnivore' so to speak. Not very good at adhering to strict diets."
