Port Mercer began as a quaint, bustling port on the east coast of Georgia... quaint, besides its tendency to attract the wrong kind of attention. It was common knowledge that the docks, along with various establishments downtown, were infested with pirates. But something drove them out of their safe harbour and the town was left to languish for nearly a century, something the few townsfolk that remembered did not speak of.

Most from the neighbouring cities were still afraid to settle there, even with the pirates long gone. Then came the civil war, bringing it back to life- at a price. The town's strange reputation resurfaced once more, however this time it was from the talk of ghosts instead.

But prosperity was not to shine over Port Mercer forever. It was eventually overshadowed by the neighbouring town of Savannah, and fell into obscurity once more.

"Come on you baby," Felix climbed the last few stairs before wiping off her shirt and turning back to face him, grinning as she did. "I win. Beat you and everything," She smirked, fixing the hem of her skirt as she rested her hands on her hips. "Bet you didn't even know I owned a skirt. I live to surprise," She raised an eyebrow slightly. "Well.... you know what I mean. Not live necessarily but... you get it," She waved off the distinction and stepped forward, turning in place as she walked and humming softly to occupy the empty space. "Daveyyyy," She sang, fixing the fallen strap of her tank top before grinning at him. "C'mon you annoying brat,"

Over the years I've come to note that it's perfectly okay to lose to a girl, when A) you're climbing something and B ) when that girl climbing in front of you, is in a skirt. Davis chuckled smugly to himself as he glanced up her skirt and shook his head, as she blubbered on. " And you say I'm the annoying one? Look his disrupting me from the nice view." He winked and ruffled her skirt back up. He jumped up as he got the next step. Smoothly placing his hands into his two front pockets as he walked slowly up to her.

"Hey!" Felix slapped his hands away from her skirt and skipped away from him again, folding her arms over her chest as she raised an eyebrow in his direction. "Don't do that," She tossed a glare over her shoulder at him before folding her arms over her chest and leaning heavily on one hip. "That's not why I ran up ahead of you. I didn't tell you you could look up my skirt, pervert," She stuck her tongue out at him. "Brat. I like it up here. Though it's very quiet..."

"Yes, and we both know you're not accustomed to quiet. Must be out of nature for you to hear the peaceful wind and raindrops hitting the roof." He smirked quickly, chuckling as he stared at her grin. He walked slowly to the roofs end and peered down to the ground. It was higher up then the balcony at the house. But he knew it wouldn't be a problem to jump off it, just in case he needed a head start if a race somewhere came up. He directed his eyes back to Felix. " And it's not like I haven't seen all of you before hand. I'm pretty sure I don't need an invite."

"I know, right? I don't know how to react to it. I hate when it's too quiet. Like sometimes the garden at the house is a little too quiet," She shrugged a shoulder and stepped back away from, turning in small circles as she ran her hands through his hair. "No jumping, Davey," She called over to him, resting her hand on her hip as she spoke. "I don't want you to jump off of the roof. If we race back, I think that's cheating," She shook her head. "Hey!" She stepped back towards him, glaring a bit at him before poking him in the side. "You most definitely do need an invite,"

Davis smirked and shook his head, pointing to himself "Me cheat? I would never think of such a thing. I was merely admiring my surroundings." He chuckled and grinned. Move nonchalantly across the open space between them, in two glides. He wrapped his one arm around her body and pulled it closer to him. The other hand sweeping her bangs out of her eyes. Leaning his head down, his lips inches away from hers. "Would it be hard to get an invite?" His lips starting to twitch upwards. Obviously hiding back a smirk.

"Please. I know you. You were thinking about how to beat me if I challenged you again. I know you were," Felix smirked at him and raised an eyebrow challengingly. She stumbled back as he pulled her towards him and laughed, resting her hand on his as she glanced back up at him. "Damn near impossible," She retorted, glancing back up at him and smirking challengingly. "I don't think you'll be able to get one. Probably not anyway..." She tilted her head to kiss him lightly before twirling out of his embrace and reaching for his hand. "So... Davey... what's going on? It's weird living with you know. I mean... you know what I mean. You're always hiding in your study library thing. You need to come out more often and hang out with me. You're such a loner..."

Vika had been mindlessly wandering around the outskirts of town for a while, and somehow ended up in the munitions plant. Well, that was what it smelled like. A little gunpowder here and there. And then...vampires. She stiffened for a second and looked up in the distance- there they were.

"Hello there," she said as she grabbed ahold of the ladder and leapt up onto the roof and approached the two from a distance.

He let out a shocked gasp as she insulted him left and right. "Well, for one thing I'm not hiding in my study all the time. And even if I was, at least my mind isn't getting corrupted by that dreaded Tv you made me buy." He shook his head. Such a waste of money and time. Not that those both didn't come in abundances.

He dropped his arms to his side and flung himself around in time to see a vampire join them on the roof. He nodded in acknowledgment.
"Hello."

"Dreaded TV? Davis, you act like you don't love it! Come now..." She shook her head and stepped back towards him, already sliding one hand up his shirt as she tilted her head to kiss his jaw lightly. "I think you should watch it with me tonight. There's that one show I like to watch, the one about those people who think that they can cook and the British prick who yells at them... you'd like that one. He's quite mean," She slid her lips to the base of his neck, smirking slightly as she pushed her hand higher. "And then maybe you'll get an invite. But I really can't say now. Depends how much you complain about-"

Felix broke off mid sentence, glancing up in slight surprise as a third vampire joined them and raising an eyebrow slightly. Prior to this, her only interaction with other vampires within the town lines was fairly limited, ranging only from Davis to Lilith and back again. But this was one of her kind she could honestly say she had never met before. Offering a somewhat abashed smile, akin to something a naughty or misbehaved child might offer when confronted by a parent, Felix pulled her hand back as subtly as she could manage and tilted her head as she took a half step away from him for good measure. "Hi!" She called brightly, resting her hands on her back as she smiled. "Um... how are you?"

"I'm fine," Vika nodded courteously to the couple (well, they seemed like it). "New in town?" she asked them both and looked over the roof and down into the forest. Something was there...She could hear them howling on some nights, but maybe it was just her.

Davis gave her a one over, noting her red glowing eyes. She seemed to cause no harm, but his muscles didn't loose any tension. He watched Felix in the corner of his eye but never took his gaze from the vampire. "No. We've been here for a couple of months" His voice and face was emotionless.

"Yes," Felix grinned and leaned against Davis as subtly as she could manage, nodding as she glanced over the new arrival. "We've been living here for a while. Not like... forever but.. a couple of months or so. Been floating around beyond that," She bit her bottom lip. She couldn't help but notice the vampire's eyes, a fact that made her minimally uncomfortable due to their differences in diet. Felix rested her hand on Davis' back and tucked her hair behind her ears before frowning slightly. She actually was starting to get a little hungry, not that she'd admit that. "Are you new to town? I haven't ever seen you around before."

"Not quite...but I do leave every once in a while. I don't like hunting humans in town," she replied- less of a challenge. After all, she had heard it was more like elder territory. Vika had lived long enough but she didn't want to cross their paths. They wouldn't do you any harm, but if they wanted you, you didn't refuse unless you did not value your 'life'. She would have rather died than join their snotty ranks. Ick.

"I assume you're...full time vegetarians?" she asked. That was sort of nice, being able to stay in town so often.

Felix obviously didn't feel the sense of danger, the way she fidgets like a human. To be quite honest it got to be a little irritating. Even though, he felt the need to be on guard he loosened the his muscles, but kept his stance. "Yes. And us vegetarians appreciate that you don't hunt in town. It makes things easier to blend in."

"Yeah, we are," She nodded quickly, taking a second to glance back up at Davis and frown minimally, trying to read his reaction to the newcomer. "We have been for a long time," She shrugged one shoulder and slipped her hand up his shirt, resting it on the small of his back as she bit her bottom lip. "Full time all the time. Won't change that anytime soon. Yes.... that does make it easier. People are less suspicious anyway... though there are those who are suspicious no matter what..."

Vika knew what she meant. Those kids that stared at her funny in school. Looking up vampires in their spare time, avoiding her in the halls.

"That's nice," she grinned. "I'm Vika, by the way...an 'omnivore' so to speak. Not very good at adhering to strict diets."

Davis nodded, then finally teared his eyes away from Vika, looking at Felix as she slid her hand along his back. She seemed more clingy then usual. His eyebrow perched as he thought over the reasons. He brought his eyes back to Vika. "The names Davis."

"I'm Felix," Felix chimed in, lifting an eyebrow back at Davis as she frowned slightly. What had that look been for? She turned away from him again, biting her bottom lip as she stared at Vika. "Vika? Really? That's an awesome name... where's it from? Like..." She shrugged a shoulder and smiled slightly. "Is it a nickname of any sort or is that like... legitimately your name? And from what country? I mean... mine's from... I don't know. Doesn't really matter since I don't use it. And Davis," She waved her free hand, smirking slightly as she glanced back up at him. "Who really cares where that name comes from. Some country of losers. Even he doesn't remember," She poked his side playfully before glancing back up at Vika. "An omnivore, huh? Well... that's a good compromise I guess,"
