Name:Cassiàn Llobell
Age: 19 (210)
Previous Location: Pau, Kingdom of France, various cities
Born to simple Occitan peasants, Cassiàn was raised in the small, pleasant town of Pau. As he grew older, France's financial troubles grew larger. Because of the king's decision to assist with the American's revolution, taxes were raised so significantly Cassiàn left for Marseilles to work to support his parents. His love of drawing and skill in portraiture allowed him to make a living there. However, it was not long before another revolution was stirring to the north in Paris. During the turmoil of the Reign of Terror, he fled back to small Pau to live with his mother and ailing father. As the years went by, his fathers mysterious illness only grew worse, and Cassiàn returned to the city, sending the money he earned back to his mother to pay for his father's treatments. Walking from storefront to storefront, paper in hand, he would set up shop all around town, a franc for two drawings. Everyday it was the same routine, bakers, park, pub, home. It wouldn't have been hard for someone to take notice, or take advantage of his habits. But, it wasn't exactly something he'd been looking out for. He'd seen them before, an older man and a young woman, on occasion they'd stand aside and watch him while he drew, so when he saw them as he walked home, he didn't think it strange when they approached him. He asked them if they were finally going to sit for him. The young woman smiled and shook her head, the old man leaned closer towards him. They wanted something, and he was fairly sure it wasn't a sketch.
