"I'll be sure to let the guys know to keep you in mind next time a position comes open," he teased. In all reality she probably wouldn't be half bad but he wouldn't dream of introducing her to some of the horrors detectives saw on the force. "What are you going to school for?" he asked curiously.

"Interior design at the art school, I think," Lucie shrugged, obvious answer. That was what she liked. But she might change her mind along the way. Never know.

"There's always somethin'. Maybe not on a large scale, but there's always somethin' and sometimes we get called into other areas to pool resources," he shrugged getting a faraway look. "Interior design? Plan on bein' a decorator?"

"Yeah," Lucie nodded. "I like that," she added. "How about you...do you enjoy your work?" she asked the cop with a smirk. She assumed he'd be on either side of the extremes.
"Shit, is that rain?" she said suddenly as she felt something on her head.

"I like it well enough. It's like any other job, has its good and bad days."
He looked up at her exclamation to find that it was indeed beginning to rain. Ever the gentleman, he picked up his jacket and offered it to her. "Won't do to have you get all wet," he said with a lazy grin. He tried to recall if there was a place nearby where they could seek shelter or if it would just be quicker to invite her to his house.
