I agree. Black and blue/green is far too overused on forums and I've never liked it...

I still prefer red/white as PT's color scheme.

That does sound like a good idea... but if it puts a strain on the forum-maker, this is fine all the same.

The only reason I didn't suggest a theme switcher is because Jaff did already.

Also, strain on the forum maker? C'mon, if he has a suggestions forum, he should be willing to take the suggestions. and if he can't fulfill the suggestion, take a vote on which theme is better. I mean, if he owns the forum, he should be doing what he can to make it better.

He has been. There's been a lot of stuff he's been doing to make not just the forums but the site better. We can't just look at what he needs to do but what he has done, and I think he's done a great job at trying to make everything better.

That being said, the ability to decide which theme would be nice. I'll be stickin' with the dark though. (Saves energy, duh.)

First off, thank you to everyone that has shared their feedback on the current template. Now, I'd like to make this forum enjoyable to all our members. Before I do go on, I'd like everyone to understand that I had created a topic asking members if they wanted a new template. -> click here. I understand both Jaffar and Riley have said that they do not like this new template, and would like to have the option of a skin chooser. Now I wouldn't mind that too. And i bet most of the members here would like to see a skin chooser. But here is the problem:

-I've used a skin chooser on PT before. You wouldn't know about it because i was still testing it, but it was in My Controls, in the side bar. Now, the template's were great. I made a retro nes one, the original forum one, and some holiday ones. Now that sounds pretty good so far, and you may wonder why i didn't keep it. The problem i did get is:

*Images would conflict. Meaning, an image from say a christmas template would appear on a Halloween template or the nes one. And it wasn't like one image, it was a bunch of images.

-Now, I have been working on the skin chooser. And i have found the problem. Yipee? Well, I am ready to put the skin chooser on PT again, but before doing so, I would like to test it out. Go through every single template on the test forum, and then place the skin chooser. Because it would be pointless to put up something that may still have many bugs.

So thank you to everyone once again for sharing your opinions. I have been working on both the site and forum, and i am sorry if it takes a while. But nonetheless, I hope that this skin chooser will be satisfying.

Never said he wasn't, but rather pointing out the flaw in what whoever I was responding to said.

OR. Upgrade to zeta. You can do that without losing any members or posts, it has a built in theme switcher, has tons of free themes already available, and you CAN change icons.


Also, I don't like this theme either. The dark cyan ish color clashes with the blue icons and logo.

I like this layout. （´・ω・｀） If it does take too long, and is really hard to do, then in my opinion, just leave the skin chooser. It's not like i'm gonna leave this place if you don't make one. ∧＿∧
