Line Art in Paint.Net, which next time I line art something, Im making sure anti-ailising is off, or on, or whichever means I get only a solid black line <.< Coloring in PhotoShop. Drawn by me, who can't draw XD

Seriously, didn't know I could do that.

Anyone has some drawing advice for me, I'd listen.

This is pretty decent, better then I could do.

The head was very good, but the body's too pudgy and looks a bit lazy.

Look's good though the pants are a bit too big. And the lines seem pixelated....

Yeah, something I commonly scribble on my notebooks and such... I dunno if it looks better colored or not...

Anyway, original drawing by me, Line Art in PDN, colored in PS.

The Sonic guy is badly proportioned. His legs don't even connect to him. D:

Practice human anatomy. It'll do you good. Even if this is an animal, he's shaped like a human, so it never hurts. :o

As for the sword, it's mis-shaped as well. The hilt is tilting to the side, which is bad, because they're not supposed to do that. As for its design, it doesn't look THAT bad, but I do believe if it were drawn to look less like a typical 3rd grade sword, it could've gotten away with murder. (What I meant by that was the sword looks too much like shapes thrown together. While you are supposed to start off with shapes as guidelines for the sword, it should look nothing like them in the final product.)

Sorry about being the bearer of bad news. Kinda sucks that I pretty much put your artwork down, and you probably want to stab me with your sword, but I hope you will take this as advice rather than an attack and improve your art. Good luck an' stuff. ;)

I'd agree with nearly everything Kin says, but I didn't want to say it because I'd sound mean D;

Also, I'd suggest learning how to actually shade, rather than to shade how sprites are shaded. Because sprite shading is nothing like drawing shading. Not to mention, I'm not even sure if you're following sprite shading, it just looks really pillow shaded.

This is a very bad idea. Don't cross programs like this, because it normal destroys your line work.

Thanks, both of you for the advice. I honestly don't draw much, these are just doodles. The original copies of them are... not even two inches tall. Seriously. And, Jaffy, I'll look up a few things on drawing shading, for whatever scribbles I have next.

If you have AIM/MSN, I'd be willing to help with your shading. AIM: Jaffar255

I DID NOT draw this. It was drawn by Makku, of MOSH. I colored it. THAT IS ALL. I don't think I did such a great job though. Anyway, I have the basic colored version as well, if anyone wants to take a stab at coloring this. *doubts that highly*

Omegasonic0 - July 12, 2009 05:26 AM (GMT)
I rarely if ever draw. And I wanted to draw today/tonight/this morning. This is HANDS DOWN, the BEST thing I've EVER drawn. BIG thanks to Skie, for her tutorial.

Pretty cool man. I like the cartoony-ness of it. :D

Pelaaja - July 8, 2010 07:27 PM (GMT)
It's all about practice, that's all. And it's already looking good.

Omegasonic0 - July 8, 2010 08:36 PM (GMT)
Comment appreciated, Pelaaja, but it was a bit of a gravedig. I'm cleaning them up, so I'll just unlock this if I ever have something to submit again.
