I have a couple of characters, some in comics while others are completely apart from them, with a background that are most of the time too long to message an author from time to time, so this thread's created to keep it all organized and simple. More are soon to come after I organize them a bit.
Here's one of the first completed Bio's:
Name: Meel Ehsteral Krumpes
Born: Bowser's Castle
Meel, a Koopa Mage, used to work as a sentry outside of Bowser's castle as her life job. Just like many of the creatures that work in Bowser's castle, Meel was seperated from her parents at a very young age. To the Koopa King, it did not matter the sex of the character so long as they were healthy and fit enough to fillfull their duties.
Though Meel had taken her job as a sentry dutifully, her interest with magic had brought the young Koopa into a whole new experience with Magic and grudges against Kammy Koopa after the old Hag had turned down Meel's request to learn magic by stating, "you have to be 'born' a Koopa Mage, not become one!," which from then on had made Meel and Kammy into utter rivals with one another.
The reason for her choice or green robes was Meel's decision to don in a color that represented the very opposite of the usual traditional Koopa Mages' purple robes as a sign of independence and rebellion. She wears a purple Penchant around her neck as a suppose pretext, and paid for her very own wand crafted by a Wandmaker outside of Bowser's castle; none of the Wandmakers in Bowser's castle would agree to build Meel a wand, since Kammy had forbidden every Wandmaker, Koopa Mage, Magical book writers, etc. from assiting Meel in any way.
Meel loves to talk about History and Magic whenever the subject comes to mind. Though the history subject tends to mundane her listeners, Meel would gladly drone on even though she knows so herself. Her favorite snack in the morning are usually apples with wheat breadsticks, her supposed "magic food" to give her brain a workout. When going to bed, she would normally place her wand under her pillow for fear of it being stolen by anyone.
Her personality can vary upon who she socializes with. When with a friend, she is normally happy and a joker, unless the conversation becomes overdramatic, then she'll back down and tell the other to cool it; Meel tends to become uncomfortable with a subject that becomes a bit overdramatic no matter what it may be. Meel sometimes tries to at least talk to newcomers, but that would not mean she would allow others to step on her, even if they were her own friends. It would take time to adjust to Meel in this level though, since she would never trust anyone she first encounters with unless she's either known them for some time or find out for herself if the character is truthworthy in a discreet manner. In fact, Meel would not have tried to be as sociable with others unless Alvin pushed her to do so. Her being picked on for trying to be a Koopa mage has made her defensive towards newcomers ever since.
When speaking with those she is familiar with and enjoy the company of, Meel would rant on and on about subjects that may not be a big deal to others, such as history and the commercial value of a mushrooms. During conversation, Meel would have the tendency to talk about a completely different subject by accident. When pointed out by this, Meel would think back to what the original conversation was about, then start anew.
Though Meel studies hard, her magic is not at great shakes. She can only cast some of the most basic spells, such as summoning and casting snowflakes. The young Koopa has tried from time to time to cast an advanced spell. Sometimes it works, other times, not so much. Secretly, Meel was inspired to become a Mage after watching Alvin the Goomba prance around Bowser's Castle with a bandana and declaring himself that he will be a ninja one day. Though Meel had highly doubt it, Alvin nontheless had inspired her to try to be a Koopa Mage herself, no matter what the cost.
Meel owns many curiosities about anything that'd facinate her, objects and/or questioins. For example, when Meel encountered a footprint she was unfamiliar with on the ground during one of her sentry duties, Meel would cast a basic spell of purification (one of the few spells Meel can use without any consequences because of its simplicities) to find clues on the footprint, such as the different chemicals and/or magic emitting in different colors from the ground and particular senses emitting from the air.
When in comibat, Meel uses her wand in an attempt to overpower her opponent. It depends who she is up against what spell she'd use. For example, if it were a colossal being, Meel would attempt to use an engorgement charm to increase her own size, or possibly shoot bubbles to distract her opponent. When against a smaller opponent, she will normally attempt to stun or distract them. Though Meel may be able to use spells that can severely harm her opponent, she would rather not use them unless she feels like she has no choice.
Kammy could've taken all spellbooks from the library to have kept Meel from learning about magic, but since her power did not extend to the Library, she had no choice but to grudgingly let the young Koopa study magic there. The same is said for Meel's grudge on the old hag; when she imagines every rock to be Kammy's face while practing her spells on them. She attempts to try something new with her life everyday, such as eatting on a different table or walking down different paths around the castle; the young Koopa doesn't believe in the clock-work routine of doing the same sequences of actions for days; she considers it a waste of life.
Closing Statement: Meel's greatest phobia are Fish from a bad experience she had with them while she was a Child. When depressed as a teenager, Meel had attempted to drink 'till she was drunk to soothe her depression; however, the alcoholic flavor was unpleasent to her taste buds and quite fairly quickly after a couple of drinks.
