King walked towards the shiny glimmer that was tiny off in the distance. He pulled out a pokeball and threw it into the air. "Come on out Ivy!" He watched as the pokeball opened and had a flash of light shoot at the ground and released a tiny green pokemon. King smiled and spoke. "It's your turn to walk along me, with the type of pokemon that should be around here you can kick butt. You have the type advantage." He smiled and Ivy replied with a simple, Bulba. King smiled again and walked beside his little green friend watching the wind move among the trees and bushes and across his face.

As you walk up to the lake, you realize that with the path you took you'll have to walk all the way around the lake to get where you need to go. Or at least, until you see a rocky tunnel jutting out of the lake shore. Next to it is a crudely labeled sign stating 'Shortcut'. The cave looks like it might go all the way under the lake, and it seems to be solid and sturdy. What do you do?

King looked at the sign and smiled. "Might as well eh Ivy?" He walked into the tunnel with Ivy by his side, he then pulled out a pokeball and called upon his cyndaquil. "Come on out Ty, we need some like." He watched as the pokeball released the pokemon and then a small porcupine type pokemon appeared and it looked around then flames rose from it's back spreading light for 15 feet. King begun to walk beside Ivy and Ty.

As you walked into the tunnel, you feel the temperature drop as you walk out of the sun. The cave is wet and moist, with coral growing along the walls. Shells and other ornaments decorate the floor. As you wander farther in, Ty's light does nothing to save you as you feel the solid ground give way to the tunnel below! As you plummet down the shoot, you feel that the rock is smooth and worn, making for a somewhat comfortable slide down to the bottom of the cavern.

As you slide to a stop, you stand up and look around. Far above you, a crystal ceiling allows you to look through to the lake bottom, and you see numerous pokemon swimming through the serene waters. The sunlight filters through the crystals, illuminating the cavern. Crystals of numerous colors decorate the sides of the room, reflecting the light of the sun onto the floor below. Coral grows in clumps and shells gather on the walls and floor. At the center of the cave, a small crystal clear pool of shining blue pool sits, perfectly still. As you look more closely, tunnels seem to branch off from what now appears to be the main room, heading around under the lake itself, and possibly to lands beyond. You couldn't see an end to any tunnel. Did this go all over the region? Or did it possibly go even farther? You might as well explore, there was no way back up anyways.

King rubbed the back of his head and sighed. " Ok Ivy, Ty, which way to go?" He watched them as they looked at the entrances and then to each other and they pointed in 4 different ways and King sighed again. " Ok that's what I get for leaving it up to two pokemon. Lets go, that way." He then pointed straight ahead and begun to walk with Ty and Ivy by his side. He whistled quietly walking through the small tunnel looking at its natural beauty. But something about it made him feel as if it wasn't nature. Ivy and Ty agreed with him on that. They kept an eye out for each other as they walked. King smiled to himself as he looked at the fire and grass types huddled by each other in front of him walking side by side. He then looked up ahead watched the walls of the tunnel carefully.

You notice that the tunnel walls are not rough, or jagged. They seem to be smooth, as if something continuously wore it down. The reflected light of the crystals dances around the sides of the tunnel. As you walk quicker and quicker, you notice a peculiar sound. It kind of reminds you of a wave crashing on the beach. But it's probably just the echo from up above.

When you finally reach the end the tunnel, there's a fork in the road. One to the left, one to the right. You notice one sloped slightly down, but the other stays straight. Which do you choose?

King smiled to himself and looked to his pokemon. "Lets go left!" He walked towards the one on the left, that went slightly downwards. He smiled more and spoke softly to his two pokemon that walked side by side in front of him still. " So Ivy, Ty, what shall we do till we get to where we are going?" They both looked at him with puzzled looks and then took off in front of him. It was a race! That's what they were going to do! King ran after them catching up with them quickly, the two pokemon were surprised and jolted forward both neck and neck King following close behind them. "You little runt's tried to pull a fast one on me, I'm just as fast as you!" He ran faster keeping up with them down the tunnel.

As you race down the left tunnel, the tunnel swerves left then right, up then down, to the point that you don't know if you're even going away from the central room. This suspicion is confirmed as you wind up back in the crystal topped room, with pokemon swimming around above you. The crystal pool looks slightly bigger than last time, but you can't be sure. Regardless, there is something odd. The rushing noise is louder now, but what is it? You still just aren't sure.


You'd better choose another tunnel before the monster finds you- I mean, before you get bored.

King looked around cautiously and then spoke. "Ivy razor leaf that tunnel we just took." He watched as the bulbasaur shot razor sharp leafs a few getting stuck in the wall a few others scratching it up. "K, now we can go through another tunnel, how about that one!?" He then jolted off into the tunnel that was next to the one they last took, leading in front of his two pokemon, winning the race. He then smiled as the two pokemon where by his side and he kept running waiting to see where they would end up this time.

As you walk down this tunnel, you come realize that this cave seems oddly... clean. The walls are wiped smooth, and the floor sparkles with crystals. One would expect the caves to be rough and covered in grime, but these caverns seem to defy the natural order. Odd, no?

Suddenly, you stop as your pokemon stare ahead, growling. Your eyes, nowhere as adept as those of your pokemon, could vaguely make out a figure shambling towards you. What do you do?

King smiled slightly at the situation. He then spoke calmly. "Ty, could you please light the way." As he spoke the little fire pokemon lit ablaze the fire spikes on her back shedding light onto the creature in front of them. "Well now, lets see what we have here. Be on alert you two." He spoke while smiling a little bit.

As your cyndaquill lights up, the figure remains in shadow, just outside the range of light shed by your pokemon. However, you do see a pair of cream colored legs protruding into the light. But it looks like there are a few more. The shapes you believed to be hands now look more like claws. Then, you hear a hissing sound as a blast of water put out your fire. Your pokemon is unhurt, however. The shape shambles backwards again, and you se the hand/claw level at you, and a blast of bubbles hit you square in the face and knock you down. As you hit the ground, cyndaquill lights up again, exposing the pokemon's large red, outstretched claw.

It fires again, and again, forcing you and your pokemon backwards through the tunnel. What pokemon could it be, you wonder as a brightly colored blast of energy flies past you, freezing the wall. You notice Bulbasaur turning around and lashing out with a razor leaf, and cyndaquill doing the same thing with a flamethrower, yet you have no idea if your attacks hit. The attacks stop but you notice the figure, or is it several figures, still moving towards you. What do you do?

King thought to himself quickly. 'If only it would make a sound.' He then looked to both his pokemon and aimed a finger at the figure. "Ivy, use razor leaf, Ty use flamethrower, NOW!" He yelled the last part telling them when to fire and a blast of fire and a wave of razor sharp leaves swarm towards the figure and disappeared into the shadows. 'Did that hit it.' He thought to himself, waiting for its next move.

As the attacks fly off down the tunnel, you only hear the scraping of leaves as they chip off the rock. Your attacks seem to have missed again. However, the roar of the fire has illuminated the figure again. In the brief seconds you see it, it appears to be a crab! What now?

king thought quickly running ideas through his head and spoke without hesitation. "Ivy use sleep power Ty use flamethrower!" He watched as the green pokemon threw a puff of powder towards the pokemon waiting for it to hit it.
