Welcome to Pokemon Meadow!

Mike walked in to the very first gym. He heard great stories of how the gym leaders use their pokemon elegantly to fight. He just knew that he was going to be amazed at how his battle is going to be. He just decided to walk around until he found someone who could give him directions to where the battle area was.

Just then Danny walked up to you. "Oh, hello are you a challenger?" You nod your head. He gives a big warm smile. "Great, follow me." You entered an enormous field with white lines and circle. You stood on your square and he stood on his side. He sends out his Hoothoot. "Would you like a single or a double battle?"

"We'll just do a single." Mike said. He detached a pokeball from his belt and tossed it in to the air. " Abomasnow! Come on out." Mike said. The pokeball opened and a shiny gleam went around the shiny pokemon. "You ready to meet your maker?" Mike asked.

Due to the member being banned, I guess this can be unlocked.

When IF the member is ever unbanned, I will unlock the topic and edit my post.

"Overconfident I see," Danny uttered. "Oh if I had a dollar for every time a cocky trainer has entered the Gym."

"Your Abomasnow looks promosing," Danny mentioned. "But can it match the power of my Hoothoot? Hoothoot, I choose you!"

With that, Danny reached to his belt and withdrew a polished, shiny, red and white Pokeball. He threw it in the air and it opened, revealing Danny's Hoothoot :hoothoot:. The Hoothoot looked psyched for battle.

"Would you like to make the first attack?" Danny asked.

"Thought you'd never ask. Sure." Mike looked from his Abomasnow to his Hoothoot. Then to Danny and back at himself. "Abomasnow, Ice Shard." He commanded. The advantage I have could help a lot.

(Sorry for the short post ^^')

"Abomasnow!" roared the mighty Grass/Ice-type, unleashing the many small shards of ice upon the lonely Hoothoot. If any of these icy daggers were to make contact with the Owl Pokémon, there would be quite a large amount of damage taken.

"Hoothoot, counter with Mirror Move!" called Danny, watching as Ice Shard began to hit. Yet just as Abomasnow's attack began to end, Hoothoot fought back by using an Ice Shard of its own. Yet while this was a moment of success for gym leader and Pokémon, the effect of Abomasnow kicked in and a hailstorm began to deal extra damage to Hoothoot.

"Ok Abomasnow, we're gonna try something new here." Mike stated. He looked at the hoothoot. "Use Grass Whistle!"

Abomasnow heard your command, and started to whistle a special, beautiful song that could put any Pokémon to sleep.

"Hoothoot, counter it with a Supersonic!" Danny commanded his small bird Pokémon. "Hoothoot!" the bird cried harshily as sound waves made of a bizarre sound was sent against Abomasnow. The sound made it impossible for Hoothoot to fall asleep so the Grasswhistle failed, and the mighty Ice/Grass Pokémon got confused! The snow that hailed caused some damage to Hoothoot, however.

"Abomasnow I know you can hold up." Mike said. "Attack with another Ice Shard." Mike wasn't sure of what to do if Abomasnow got knocked out. He'd be deep in the mud if Abomasnow went down.

Danny gave off a small smile as he began to stare at your confused Abomasnow. "Heh." He began, in a sly manner quickly thinking of an attack move for his Hoothoot to use against your Pokemon. "Okay, Hoothoot!" The man yelled, trying to capture his Pokemon's attention, "use Sky Attack!" He said, slightly posing as he finished off.

As the Hoothoot nodded towards Danny, it began to flap it's brown wings and flew high in the battle stadium, your Abomasnow was trembling as it tried to stand still attempting to concentrate on Danny's Pokemon, Hoothoot, who was now going to use an attack which could knock off alot of you Pokemon's HP. Soon enough, you noticed that there was small light in blue shards appearing before your Abomasnow. It was highly obvious that it was preparing for the attack.

As your poor Pokemon attempted at that, the foe's Hoothoot - whilst in mid-air - tried to search your Abomasnow's weak spot. He scanned up and down until he felt that he found your Pokemon's weak spot. Once that had been completed, in which case, it had, the Hoothoot was now charging itself up to attack, which would mean that the Pokemon would strike in the next turn.

"Aboma!" ((o_o Sounds like Obama. xD)) Yelled your Pokemon as you noticed there were now alot of small ice shards before it. The Abomasnow then yelled again and the shards shot into the sky in the Hoothoot's direction. This gave Danny a worried expression written on his face.

"Hoothoot!" Cried the bird Pokemon as it saw the shards coming it's way. It wasn't exactly directly coming it's way, I mean, it would hit, but just about. If the Hoothoot moved just an inch, the attack would be stated as a near miss. And in this case, it was. The Hoothoot flew slightly out of the way, still concentrating on your Pokemon and the Ice Shard attack went right pass the bird Pokemon.

"Aboma..." Sighed your Pokemon.

Crud, hopefully, Abomasnow can still attack. Mike thought. And thought. "Ok Abomasnow, Try and use Icy Wind!" He quickly followed his finger along to hoothoot's speed. I hope this works. He hoped (obviously). He just hoped he could win this cause he likes his first try to be a win so it's his last too.

Abomasnow managed to hear the command, yet now he had to fight through the confusion in order to actually follow through with Icy Wind. There was a struggle going on within the head Mike's Pokémon, and if the shiny Grass/Ice-type ended up losing the battle this turn, it would end up hurting itself instead of dealing that damage to Hoothoot.

"Hoothoot, fight back with Wing Attack while Abomasnow is preparing the attack!" cried Danny, a quick nod from his Pokémon before it flew in for the attack. Using its feet to grab hold of Frosted Tree Pokémon, Hoothoot was able to deal a fair amount of damage with repeated slaps from its small brown wings.

"Abomasnow!" cried the large Pokémon quite suddenly, managing to fight through the confusion this turn and let loose with Icy Wind. The small Owl Pokémon was blasted back, unable to keep to firm grip upon the opposing Pokémon, and was soon dealt even more damage from the hail brought forth by Abomasnow's ability.

"Ok, Shard, We can get through this. I know it. So let's go for another Ice Shard." Mike said.

The speedy ice attack struck Hoothoot within moments, inflicting super effective damage on the bird Pokemon.

"Enough of this nonsense, Hoothoot, use your Hypnosis attack!" Danny commanded, confidently, as any Gym Leader would.

Hoothoot then flew to the centre of the Gym and stared at Abomasnow. Abomasnow stared back in a dreary state. It was as if, it couldn't help but stare. It gazed into Hoothoot's eyes in this zombie state and within moments, Hoothoot's eyes shone red. Abomasnow fell to the ground with a thud. It's eyes were shut. It had fallen asleep.
