"Thanks you, oh so very much!" The boy called.

"I was wondering... He paused.

"What is your name? Mine is Luke..." He finished.

While walking down, moments later, you and Luke both notice a funny looking sign. It read 'Three miles to go.' However, neither you or Luke knew where it led to. It continuously moved side to side... Was something behind it?

[Crindles]

Crindles smiled, "I'm Crindles, I say we check out that sign over there! Could be a cool Pokemon behind it!", he smiled as he ran up to the sign with Tordum. "Tor..." Tordum said quietly as it backed away slightly.

[Red10]

You and Luke walked cautiously up to the sign, and it revealed a small Volbeat shaking the sign. The Volbeat shaked it up, she seemed to be enjoying this. It was odd, but you thought she was doing this for fun. The Volbeat looks up at you and Luke once she felt someones presence.

[Crindles]

Crindles chuckled a little, "It's kinda funny.", he said as he nudged Luke. "Im gonna try and catch it, but first lets try the easy option, although, Im almost certain it wont work, but it's an easy way to see if a Pokemon wants to battle." Crindles gleamed as he knelt down to the Volbeat and smiled, "Wanna join my team little guy?", he smiled.

[Red10]

Volbeat stared at you with a startled expression. She then nodded slowly. But she wasn't willing to go yet, as you predicted Volbeat wanted a battle.

[Crindles]

Crindles spun around and chuckled to Luke, "I told you didn't I?". He then spun around and threw a pokeball into the air, "Go Snubbull!", he shouted as a flash of red light appeared then cleared to display the dog like Pokemon. "Ok then Snubbull, use Charm then Lick!", he instructed his Pokemon as it nodded.

[DC x Sam]

(Uh, Red. Volbeat is solely a MALE Pokemon. It's counter part female is Illumise. So technically, a Volbeat can't be a female gendered.)

Volbeat was caught off guard, but it didn't look like it trusted you yet. It took flight as you sent out your Pokemon, the cute growler, Snubbull. The fire bee was starting to flutter around higher and higher, and it was getting out of sight. Snubull trembled about, but instead of a Charm, it managed to utilize the nearby trees and pounced on Volbeat, hitting it with a paralyzing Lick!

[Crindles]

Crindles smiled, "Ok Snubbull, use attract then bite!", he instructed to his Pokemon as he turned to Luke, "Ok, I will be surprised if Illumise isn't around here, so could you help if it comes to fight?", Crindles asked the boy.

[Red10]

Sam: Sorry, my bad. You forgot Snubbull Imtimadate abillity. I'll just lower one attack stat.


Luke nodded. Snubbull's Attract failed. Volbeat seemed to ignore Snubbull's Attract, and let loose a blinding Flash insted. Snubbull didn't attack with Bite after that, due to him being paralysis. Illmise didn't show up. Volbeat looked worried.

[Crindles]

Crindles looked around, wondering what to do. "Ok, Snubbull, try and use Fury Swipes, followed by a growl!" he said as he went a little red, as he wasn't doing too good infront of his new found friend.

Snubbull seemed to fight the Paralysis, and went along with the series of attacks. Volbeats bulb lit up a little brighter and then more brighter. He was using Flash. It caused all of you to shut your eyes, and lowered Snubbull's accuracy by one. Volbeat looked around, and flew up a little higher, his eyes then fixed on something, and an Illumise came flying toward him.

[Crindles]

Crindles looked up to see what the Volbeat was looking at, then he saw the Illumise flying at a startling speed towards them. Crindles looked around then nodded at Luke, "Looks like Im going to need your help after all." he looked at Snubull and smiled, "Use the same attacks again! You can do it!"

Luke instinctively nodded and proceeded to reach to his belt, revealing a Pokeball of his own. He threw it into the air and it opened, revealing a firey mouse. It was his Cyndaquil.

"You're looking pretty today, Cyndarella," he complimented. "Ready for a battle?"

His female Cyndaquil, Cyndarella, nodded and was ready to take on the Volbeat and Illumise couple. Kon, the Snubbull, turned to Cyndarella and nodded, ready for the partnership.

"Okay Cyndarella, let's start off with Ember!" Luke commanded. the quils on his partner light up within an instant, followed by a burst of embers which did super effective damage on Illumise.

Your Snubull followed up with it's Fury Swipes on Volbeat. The bug couple retaliated with a double-Tackle attack on the Cyndaquil.

Kon then Growled, lowering Volbeat's attack power further. Luke commanded for another Ember attack, which this time struct Volbeat for a good amount of damage. The bugs used their Tackle attacks again, this time on Snubull.

Crindles looked at Luke's Pokemon. It was strong, definately. Then he looked to Luke and wondered how he had ended up here. Crindles shook his head, returning to the battle. "Kon, use Fury Swipes again! Then use Lick on Illumise! You can do it!", he shouted to his Pokemon then nodded to Luke. "We can do this. It'll be easy.", he said as he smiled to Luke and the two Pokemon.

"Hey, you Snubbull is tough," Luke complimented as Kon used another Fury Swipes on the Volbeat. "But it is tougher than my Cyndaquil?" ;)

Cyndarella smirked back and waited patiently for it's command. "Ember on both of them!" Luke commanded as the firey mouse sent off some blazes, the first one striking Volbeat.

Volbeat took a lot of damage and it's buddy, Illumise, came and helped it up. Once it was back to it's feet, the two of them double-tackled Cyndarella.

Cyndarella and Kon then proceeded to attack Illumise. The bug Pokemon took a fair amount of damage as well. Volbeat helped out it's friend too, then they both went to strike Cyndarella again.
