picking a Domain Name, looking at one site, why is the price different between co.uk at £9.99 & .com/net at £35, all for 2yrs. B.F.N Geoffmosh

The domains are administered by different organisations. DotCom is global and is often regarded as 'the one to have'. There is less demand for regional domain names, although DotCo.Uk is very popular. They are administered locally and often cost less.
If you are UK based and want to limit your reach to a UK audience, a DotCo.Uk domain is no handicap. British customers know they are dealing with a British supplier, overseas clients may choose not to contact you but only you know if this will be a drawback. |
