Go Run S'more, ...

After the first few miles or so, Torrent was spent. He knew he'd been a little negligent with his body and all as of late, but he didnt know that running was essentially torture. He'd been good when he ran on his own, not, however, when he was there to make up for missing a class or two- this was Shift, and Shift sucked pretty much.

He was hunched over, hands on his knees, snow white hair hanging in his pale blue eyes, chest rising and falling unevenly. It was times like these when he realised the extent of abuse of his sacred and wolf forms did on his human skin. He knew it was weak to start with, but this was ridiculous...

Lucia Abadge strode toward her hall, having finished feeding Braveclaw. She was in a fine mood this morning, and nothing could have gotten her down. She entered to see a white-blonde young man breathing hard, obviously exercising. Though, most people didn't breath that hard. She walked over. "Good morning, student. Need some help there?" A waterbottle appeared in her hand, and she handed it to him.

"I need a new pair of lungs..." Torrent lifted his eyes, hooking a finger into the collar of his shirt, pulling it away from his body. 'New body would be better...' He thought to himself, nodding his thanks at the teacher, downing half the water with a few long gulps. He'd been making efforts to take better care of himself after a few comments down at the nurse about his protruding ribs and backbone- he was down there after a particularly brutal run in with a set of stairs he didnt see coming.

Professor Abadge crouched down so she could see his face. "Naw, you don't need new lungs. You just need to train 'em." She smiled slightly. "An' that takes time. I could help, if you want."

In all actuality, and physical limitations of his species, Torrent was a sprinter, not so good for long distance. It was one of the many complications of being a werewolf, he made up for it in stamina- lack there of in his case, however.

"S'pose doing it with someone is easier than doing it yourself. You've got a deal" He shook his head slightly, white bangs falling out of pale blue-and-cream eyes. He straightened up, rolling his shoulders, taking a long, even breath, awaiting instructions.

Lucia straightened and clapped her hands vigorously. "Okay. First thing is stretching. Loosens the muscles before you run." She demonstrated different stretches. "Do each one on each side, counting to ten."

Torrent did as he was bidden, listening with a sort of grimace as a few times bones that werent supposed to pop did so. His physical neglect had been a major contributor to his state- hidden behind long shirts and jeans most of the time- but also just being what he was. Shift took a major toll on the body, and with the frequency and often uncontrolled Shifts he took, he was a mess.

Lucia tried not to wince at the pops of his bones; this boy was really out of shape. "Kid, you need some extreme measures." She said this as kindly as she could. "I'll see if i can get the lunch ladies to give you a special diet. We need to build this thing up slowly, starting small." She smiled. "I want you to run three laps with me, while I watch." She tapped her head with her wand, and another totally identical Lucia popped next to her. They nodded to eachother, and the new one stepped forward.

The original spoke again. "After this, I'll think up some other things that should help with strength and the like."

Torrent chuckled softly at her realization of the extent of his physical... impedments. "Dont go easy on me, I'm tougher than I look" And he had the scars to prove it, though most of them were from a night of his life he'd rather not remember.

"Three?" His pale eyes moved from the original to the copy, scanning them both over for a moment before nodding slightly and turning to run. "More running..." He sighed, looking over his shoulder for the other.

"Trust me, it's much easier to run with a partner than alone. It especially helps if you have some music. Do you have some sort of music player?" This was spoken by the Lucia clone, who had changed into some sports clothes.

Torrent shook his head, shaggy white bangs falling into his eyes. He was out of touch with technology, though often one of the boys in the common rooms had a radio or something. Human music wasnt really something he was in to, wolf song was more his style considering he was one.

"I can get that..." Years ago he'd had a whole pack to run with, now a days, he spent most of his time in his human skin, and ran all alone on full moons.

The clone nodded thoughtfully. "That's okay. Let's get started." The clone headed to the track while the original sat on the bleachers.

Torrent followed quietly, silently psyching himself up. Somewhere in the pit of his belly, he was gald that he had running company, though he'd much rather run in the woods than on a track...
The other half was determined to make this a competition, but he was well aware of that part, and forced it down as best he could.

The white wolf fought back a grin, breaking into a slow run as soon as his feet hit the track, pulling up alongside the doppleganger, testing his speed every now and then, speeding up for the sweet pull of tendons and the strain of muscles.
