Too many people were touting their opinions as fact, and I was getting tired of such disrespectful actions, voiced my displeasure, forgot that I'm not allowed to disagree with assholes, and got reamed a new one. Then, someone, whom I'd considered a friend bit my throat out amidst half the posters saying "Good Riddance" when I said I was leaving (the other half, well, came here).

That is exactly why I don't get into debates about politics. If I'm not sure that the people I'm talking with share a bit of my opinions or at least are open minded, I decline to talk about politics.

One of the things I was getting sick of, was the increasing one-sided trashing of politics and religion.
I hate both sides of both subjects. Everyone here knows that. But, what I hate worse, is when it's only one side trashing the other. And, being a believer in god (not a fan, though) with old-fashioned morals to have almost every thread that popped up about how god didn't exist and that the Conservatives were destroying the country (actually...it's humanity that's destroying this country, you Liberal-dickheads) - I got sick of it, as I would have if every thread was about how awesome god is and how bad pornography and marijuana are. Don't want to hear it. And saying so got me torn apart. Hence, the Spider's Parlour was born. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle. :thumbsup: |
