2009 The Revival

2009 is fast approaching and PPStage has hit its 8th year!! I know it's mainly my fault that PPStage has gone totally downhill for the past couple of years since my interest has decreased to almost non-existant but I'm ready to jump back in with both feet! Let's make 2009 a spectacular year!

I have contacted the (very) small staff about reviving this place back to its former glory. This also means that we need input from YOU! I would like to go back to maintaining a fully functional website with interactive media. As you guys all know, we do NOT promote piracy here but we DO promote the advancement and growth of the eurobeat/parapara/techpara community all around the world. Ideas are floating around and if it is possible, PPStage will launch its very own private streaming media player (that means no more dealing with infringement issues with large media sites like youtube).

There are many more ideas I have in mind including a image gallery, lyrics, release database, and of course focusing on YOU and your events all around the world.

Please leave your ideas here for the forum and for the new site itself Like I have also wrote to the staff, while this place does mainly focus on parapara/eurobeat, I also want to be able to talk about everything that happens around this which includes j-fashion, gal circles, magazines, and more.

Also for those who wish to be on staff for the site or forum, I would like you to PM me with what you can contribute to the community.

I think it is a great idea to try and bring PPS back to it's former glory! I remember when this place used to be such a valuable source of information for all things para para for myself when I was starting out and I imagine for a lot of others as well.

I think you already have the right main ideas of what to bring to the table. It's important to do this in 2009 as well considering there's a high possibility for another boom and you could take advantage of this. I'll be happy to contribute in any way possible =)

I heard behind the scenes that Eurobeat music from Avex Trax is going to get promoted with publicity and tours (maybe even some concerts ?)...anyways , 2009 is the best year to try to put PPS to its best ! I wasnt there during its glory days , but i imagine it was great !

The YouTube kind of system on this board would be really great. Youtube is not really great place to upload Avex-ParaPara refilms and stuff...

I would be honored to contribute to PPS in any ways !

Having other people get excited about ParaPara again makes me excited! I was really down on it after Youmacon's disaster, so it's good to hear others are getting excited again.

I think my excitement is waaaay overdue. I pretty much fell out of the community around 2003 and just couldn't get myself out of this rut. I can't even tell you how I'm getting myself back into this because I don't even know XD I guess seeing this place slowly die off got to me since I know how popular this place used to be.

I've been working on the new site all day. Hopefully I can get stuff up and running by mid-January or end of January by Ohayocon. I don't want to rush putting it up when it is lacking material.

That's awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing PPStage get it's 'second wind' - the media thing sounds like an excellent idea, too. Maybe a Eurobeat-radio too? ;o I'm excited!

While ideas are alive and well, the problem we run into is... MONEY. If we want to stay away from ad-littered places, we gotta fork over some cash. Unfortunately from what I've seen from the community in the years this place has been open, I can pretty much expect a big fat zero in donation dollars.

This makes me so incredibly excited, Patty. I know what you mean about falling out of the community- I completely fell out of the entire effing kingdom! Getting back into para is one of my resolutions for 2009, and I would love to be a part of a new boom and revival here in the US.

I just added a donation button by the PPS and SEPH Podcast buttons. Any donation from anyone, no matter how big or small, will help. All money will go towards the hosting service I am buying to host PPStage's streaming media video files. Depending on the amount of bandwidth used, it can get extremely expensive so you can believe me that any donation will be put to good use.

Also thanks to those who have contacted me about helping out. I will take anything you would like to contribute.

The amount of support for this revival site has been amazing. I really thank you guys for helping out whether it be helping me gather material for the site or giving a little by way of donation. I hope that this new site will be helpful and valuable to the community. Like in the other thread, I have just tested our streaming media player and it works like a charm. All that is needed now is material to get up and ready. Of course there will be quite a few disclaimers and rules for this new streaming media thing but I think that will be saved once we get the site up and running.

Right now I'm really keeping the site under wraps since I want this to be full blown grand opening of sorts. I've only shown two members so far who is helping me with the site and I have gotten great reactions to it so hopefully when it is unveiled that you guys will also enjoy it.
