I have been thinking of a storyline of how PWA closed...This story line could be the basis of the start of BOTH RPW and Redemption.

My idea is this perhaps Donail Swiggette pulled a coup d'état from out of nowhere... The disgruntled former boss used many different company's and conglomerates since his departure from PWA to buy up shares thus making himself the Majority Shareholder.

Once he had done this FROM OUT OF NOWHERE the bastard swoops in and closes PWA down without ONE word to anyone; this could be HIS LAST FUCK YOU!

Here Tony Field and his his bank account to swoops in and start offering contracts for his new company Redemption. He also wants to buy the PWA Video Library/History from Swiggette...

But as this is happening; PWA founder JJ Biggs with backing from a decent money source (not as big as Field's I might add.) steps in and opens RPW in order to stop Tony Field from cornering the wrestling market and owning it all (WWE STYLE.)

However Swiggette sells them BOTH the Video Library/History...This would former the Premier Alliance.

This would mean that Redemption is the number one company; it has more money, bigger venues, more marketing, DVD rights from the get go, more advertising revenue ETC...With a global fan base who BUY BUY BUY lol. (Again WWE size.)

While RPW is more of an ECW/TNA size promotion looking to get bigger and get a fan-base/ratings and give Redemption a run fro their money; RPW will tour the US in smaller more intimate venues like how Monday Night Raw started and we have a more hardcore-Cult-Like fan base who go CRAZY over the product.

Anyway that is my idea for a Storyline that could start everything off...

Let me know what you think.

-Sam.

Pretty good idea, Sam. It'd help tie up a lot of the loose ends and give each fed a backstory so they can transition more smoothly.

I like this. Although the way Redemption is perceived would be just SLIGHTLY different. But this is still VERY doable. Here, this is cut and paste off the Redemption site.

Redemption is based out of St. Louis, Missouri, the hometown of Tony Field and the hometown of the old Wrestling at the Chase, that featured guys like Ric Flair, King Kong Bundy, and Harley Race.

Field, not wanting to have to share revenues with venues across the nation and pay rental prices, built a multi-million dollar arena he calls "The Grounds". It's a 27,000 seat state of the art arena that will host all Redemption shows, charging top dollar, nearly triple the typical price for a standard event at a larger "rented arena", thus generating more revenue than larger federations while going cheaper on rental and travelling expenses.

The goal of Redemption is not to be a small federation, they are far from it. Pumping more money into it than most federations world wide and generating high reveunues. Rather they are an exclusive federation, like that fine restaurant you just can't get a reservation for but you are dying to. Rather than loading up massive rosters, Redemption signs only the elite performers for top dollar, focusing on star power more than girth of roster.

Television wise, Redemption and Tony Field have turned down several television offers from major cable channels and even a major network, choosing to maintain all the revenues for Tremor and to present an uncensored product at the same time. Tremor has a weekly show entitled Salvation, which airs exclusively on www.redemptionwrestling.com for paid site members only, charging a monthly subscription of 29.95 a month and charging top dollar for advertising placement.

Not being delusional about gaining new audience however, once every six weeks Tremor will have a free televised show on HBO, commercial free, entitled Unfiltered. Unfiltered will push a Pay Per View style card. Redemption will also air 3 Pay Per Views a year at 59.95 for standard and 69.99 for the HD airing. That will be located at major arenas across the world.

Through Field Enterprises, Redemption will also put out their own DVDs and music, thus eliminating all third parties, and are currently in negotiations with Netflix and Hulu for delayed airing of Salvation.

Redemption is pushing the envelope to become the first "exclusive" fed that wants to make it money by making it rare.

Welcome to Redemption.

*NOTE: I am running a storyline somewhere down the road with Field fielding lucrative offers to travel with Redemption for more than PPVs.

I am pretty sure we can fit these two ideas together easily.
