Title: Wow...the Cowboys

Chris Wilkins - October 14, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
So, the Cowboys lose Tony Romo for four weeks, Felix Jones for 2-4 weeks, and Pacman Jones gets suspended and they trade for...another wide out?

Wow, Jerry Jones, that makes perfect sense.

Take God I'm not a Cowboys fan and I'm just laughing at all of this.

I'm a Cowboys fan...

*looks at the news*

Shit...

AlexLegend - October 15, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
Could be worse man, you could be a Texans fan like me

Jostrodomus - October 15, 2008 04:53 AM (GMT)
Brad Johnson was a solid quarterback in his starting days.

We have marion barber still.

WE have TO and now we have Roy Williams who will be the replacement for TO.

These two wr's are happy as shit.

We have plenty of CB's that are solid enough to step up in the secondary to replace pacman.

So why not have a team ready to win the superbowl when romo gets back?

The o-line is in tact. That means johnson will have time to throw.

think...geesh...before you speak.

AlexLegend - October 15, 2008 03:55 PM (GMT)
Eh, you're missing Pacman and Terrance Newman, not to mention Felix Jones who was a threat to say the least on returns.

Brad Johnson WAS solid, but even if he could be decent again I think it'll take him a few games to get his rhythm down with T.O. and Roy.

If the Cowboys played in any other division, they'd be alright but they were behind as it was and I see them fighting for the wildcard.

Could be worse though, they're still in way better position than New England.

At least that's better than being a Lions fan... like me. (peeks out of closet) :(

Jostrodomus - October 15, 2008 07:41 PM (GMT)
they are banged up, but they stiill have the offensive threats to win games. The defense needs a boost badly.

And they still have mike jenkins and henry at corners, though newman starting is better than jenkins and having jones in there for a pass protect defense and returning is nice as well as felix.

But remember they still have the guys who did the returns for them last year when they tore shit up minus the playoffs....

And why make a trade for one year when you have a solid enough team to get you to the playoffs with everyone back at that time when you can get a great young person to fill the shoes of someone who only has a few years left.

AlexLegend - October 15, 2008 09:52 PM (GMT)
I'd almost say they're almost not that worse off without Romo, it's the other guys that are gonna hurt the most. Personally I think Tony is a liability at QB, he averages about one ridiculously boneheaded play a game and something about that shit-eating grin on his face constantly bugs me.

Like I said tho, it's gonna be rough for them, especially when any team in their division could potentially win it, their saving grace tho is the fact that the rest of the NFC is trash.

And Scorpion at least nobody remembers the lions blowing a 17 pt lead with less than 4 minutes left in a game...or come to think of it a 35-3 lead in the third quarter like the former Houston team did.

Instead we had one of the worst time spans of all time called the "Matt Millen Era" and already I've got a shit eating grin on my face cause Kitna out for the year. My hate for Kitna has grown every year.

AlexLegend - October 16, 2008 03:12 AM (GMT)
haha I do remember an assanine claim last year that the lions would win 10 games

Crowe - October 17, 2008 10:39 PM (GMT)
Ok, I am an Eagles fan and you people are going to make me defend the Cowboys, which means you guys suck.

Brad Johnson is a good enough qb to get them through the few weeks that Romo will be gone.

Felix, yes was awesome at Kick/Punt Returns, but they will be ok.

As for the Roy Williams Trade. Why not? Jerry Jones, despite the fact of him being the devil, knows what he is doing.

Pacman getting suspended is the best that could happen to any team. I think he is so overrated.

Either way, The Cowboys will enter the playoffs. Despite myself hating them, they are still the best overall, solid team in the NFC, if not the NFL.

Chris Wilkins - October 17, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
Ya'll seeing that they're trying to scare the league into thinking that Romo might still play? Yeah, right. I wonder if it's acutally working on anybody.

I think it's more of the fact that all these things happened to them within a few days that makes it great. But, they'll still be in the playoffs.

Unlike my team, the 49ers, who refuse to throw to Davis and...umm...yea. They just ain't that good.

Crowe - October 17, 2008 11:13 PM (GMT)
I was scared for a bit, thinking the 49ers would beat the Eagles. This has been a fucked up year in the NFL and especially fantasy football.

Shaun Andrews - November 7, 2008 09:44 PM (GMT)
The Cowboys stink! They climaxed early, they will be happy to win 8 games, and its a damn shame that the lions get there draft pick, bahahahaha!! they deserve what they get! and im glad they stink! The Eagles on the other hand will show u how 2 play the giants this week!

Ps: Danny we spanked the niners!

Pps: Hawk, we took care of the Falcons!

Ppps: Josh, see you in Philly, and also... Neil, Mike, Denver and The colts stink!

Chris Wilkins - November 7, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
Meh, of course you stomped my team, who hasn't?

McNabb's gonna choke soon enough. Just watch. It happens every year and this year will be no different.
