Here’s a brief description of each fine art so that everyone is clear on what they can and can’t study.

DanceDancers are students who, basically, study body movement to a beat or in a specific rhythmic patter. Dancers at Owen’s can study tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, pointe, ballet, or lyrical, or a combination of all of them! It’s all up to the individual dancer.
VoiceTo sing at Owen’s, your voice has to be the best of the best. Owens Voice students are trained classically but they are encouraged to try other styles such as Broadway, Pop, and Contemporary.
BandWhat school would be complete without a concert band? Here at Owen’s we are proud to sport one of the best in the country. No rock instruments here, though. Just woodwinds, brass, and percussion.
ArtArt students at Owen Academy cover a broad range of mediums from photography and sculpting to graphic design and oil painting. Any student who has enough talent and enough passion can study under the watchful eye of an amazing art director.
ActingTo the average, untrained eye the students who haunt the theatre until the wee hours in the morning have the easy job. Get on stage, play someone other than yourself, get graded for it. But the Acting students know better. They are trained in every aspect of acting from Broadway to improv and everything in between.
Creative WritingAny student who writes understands that it is, indeed, a fine art. It requires talent and creativity just as much as any other art. They show the others of the school that they can "perform" too by publishing something every few months be it in the tri-annual literary magazine or something in the school newspaper, they put their work out to prove they are just as much of an art as anyone else.
