Discussions for the PSP console; technical support, updates, and every little thing you might wanna share.
1. Okay first off, I would like to ask those who are PSP junkies if it's advisable to set the XMD speed at highest (330)? Aside from increased need of battery power (thus shorter battery time), what other disadvantage would it pose?
Somebody borrowed my PSP for a few minutes during our free time at the dorm when we were in Antique for 3 straight weeks and after it was returned to me, the loading time for the game icons as well as for the pics slowed down significantly (around 50% slower than usual --- The opening clip at the game selection menu of Bleach Heat The Soul 5 was almost in slow motion). The PSP has a 64mb RAM as I've heard but this kind of problem didn't happen to this extent although it sometimes did when I turn it on "too much" (holding the trigger too long even after the Sony loading screen appeared --- and yes, the sound sometimes goes mute). I shut it down and left it to rest for a day but the same problem occurred whenever I restart it. It occurred to me maybe the #$%@#$ dropped during the time it was borrowed. I was extremely sleepy and I had a freakin' 40-degree Celsius hyperthermia (fever) at that time so I was unable to keep a watchful eye. After it was borrowed it was like... SLOW (not really slow but the loading of the game icons and pictures is)... and the seal at the back for the battery didn't quite fit as easily as before --- leading me to a conclusion that it was dropped. But one thing contradicted my conclusion: there was no dent marks nor marks it was dropped. The screen was as usual and there was no crack... nothing. But I was extremely enraged and just like that, my fever was gone with my perspiration from too much anger. The games were still okay though... no hindrances, lag or anything. But I wondered why..
It was only this recently that I finally had an adequate internet connection that I finally was able to fix the darn slow delay/load time of the game icons/clips at the menu. The XMD speed was set on 110 (or so) then I changed it to 333 (or 330... whatever). After manually turning the system off by removing the batteries (can't be shut down by the switch nor the menu) and once more turning it on, problem was resolved. I dunno what the hell really happened, but perhaps the borrower accidentally set the XMD speed to 110 (or whatever).. I could not be sure. Maybe it was 110 all along? That I will never know since I only got recently hooked to technical stuffs after what happened to my PSP.
2. Second, is buying a 1.3 (or so) megapixel usb camera worth it?
3. And third, anyone selling 16gb memory sticks?

(bargain price of course)
