This is the sexy forum for the sexy cosplay group known as OrgaNZ. Its sexiness is rivalled only by my own.

Sexy as it is, however, it is currently under construction. I am awaiting the arrival of my bitches ...associates Demyx (Rikki-Leigh) and Roxas (Becca).

Soon, this board will overflow with sexy categories and subforums and be the envy of the whole wide world!

Please register with the name of the character you cosplay, otherwise I will look like a moron who thinks they're really Axel.

More stuff later.

Sup guys!

First things first,
This thread is your KH cosplay bible.
While this one is your Organization cosplay bible.

~Coat
I was thinking pleather, but since Erica's (mizuenzeru @ DA) troupe's coats are by far the best I've ever seen, and she uses a heavy furniture vinyl, I re-thought. There's this stuff on trade me, which I'm thinking looks pretty darn good and almost exact to hers. I've bought four metres, so I'll update when it arrives! They seem to be constantly selling it, so we'll be fine for time.
This tutorial tells you how to adapt the Matrix coat pattern, and includes links to piping tutorials too.

~Beads/dangles/chain
Anyone near enough to a spotlight to check? There were some okayish ones at my mums work, but they're not the best. This is where I get jealous that Erica and Amanda are jewellery majors >.<
Anyway. Ideas? We could make them ourselves, especially the middle ones, out of cotton reels or something nearer. The others could be made using sculpty? Or papier mache? What works best do you think?

Here is a photo of some really neat ones, and what they used.

~Gloves
There are some nice shiny nylon ones in Postie Plus that cost $7. I bought some, and they're so soft and comfy. Was thinking if everyone got those, would you be happy with them? I can't tell since my hands are so tiny, all gloves look ridiculous on me XD They're cheap, and accessable. Ideas?

~Zips
Spotlight. I am so exited. They have giant zips which are like, cut your own. So you can make them double ended and vryvry long! They were closing and I didn't get to see how much they were, so if someone could check that'd be great! My nearest is ages away, so I only go when I'm in the area. lol mine and Tammy's will be the cheapest XD *is shot*

~Boots
Trade me. Just keep looking for your size, a lot of perfect ones go for real cheap. Or you can try your local opshops etc.
Then just cut out the design on the top, and use something like masking tape in the right colour/paint to go around the edge.
OR make boot covers for them.
EDIT
Something like these especially if you're short haha. I'm allowed to be but you aren't XP
These type have taken over trademe, it seems, I can't find any suitable ones for me! The one time I actually don't want to be taller.

Oh jesus. How much does material cost?

On the bright side, I live with a seamstress/tailor. If we need help with sewing, she'll step up; just don't overload her, she's only one woman.

Also! The Warehouse has perfect beads, for only, like, $2. I'll see what I can do.

$18/metre. But RRP is $24.95/metre.

Cool, maybe she can give us advice and help with the pattern? I'd want to sew it on my own, but help is always welcome. Especially when it comes to those damn pockets and the piping.

Oh, sweet! My warehouse is the one they dump all the stuff that isn't selling, so we don't have as much. Go take some sneaky photos, creepy Vexen.

There's a good PVC you can get down here in CHCH at a place called Fabric Vision, which is unshined and quite light.

I wouldn't reccommend heavy furniture vinyls for cosplay, personally, unless you have some kind of deathwish and like bearing 4KGs of fabric on you for a day (I kid you not! I used furniture vinyl for my Dante coat... And while it looked amazing, it was not amazing to wear. At the airport on the way home, I sneakily dropped my coat on one of the weighing tables, and discovered it was 4KG. True story, kids.)

I think probably the best fabric choice would be whatever Hana (the Marly in the KH group last year at Auckgeddon) used for hers...

If anyone'd like to find out what it was, I'd be happy to ask her.

It was textured similarly to the heavy-weight vinyl you buy from Spotlight, but much lighter, more clothing-suited. It felt less plastic-ey to the touch, as well.

I'll try find pictures for you guys, so you can see it, but that fabric was really amazing. xO

It's your guys choice at the end of the day, I don't want to force any of my retarded personal elitism on you, and I would prefer us to all have the same uniformed look, but if you don't want to put up with the fabric again that's cool XD

I have it already, though, and I am really loving it... We'll see what the other material looks like, and if it looks too off with the stuff I have, I'll use that for a mock up, and buy some more XD

Bleed2Dust wore theirs to Anime Boston aka LineCon and survived, even Scout borrowed a coat for the day and she's tiny as. But if you say it's too heavy, I'll take your word for it haha. I'll go feel it up again and see.

I didn't go last year, but it looks great in the photos. Probably wouldn't be too different. Yay lets find out.

Edited because I sounded like a bitch and I didn't mean to be =X

lol fair enough. I should just use it as the coat I'll take to Japan with me, as *sniff* you guys won't be there ;_;
Haha aww poor confused Larxene. It's okay!

Sweet, thanks. Once we've got everyone together and decided on material, we can focus on making them the same =]

EDIT: I weighed the material and it's 0.5kgs for four metres, which is about double what I'll need for my coat. How come yours was so heavy? lol.
