Some of you may want to accelerate your characters a bit, or jump into some sort of leadership position. We would like most members to go through the process of roleplaying the lower levels, however we will recognize exceptional contribution to the quality of RP here on CotO.

So, we are offering some assignments which will help you to accelerate your character or grant you a second character that is a knight commander, archmage, etc. We would prefer you already to have an active first character before completing a full-status character. For second characters, you should write out at least a 5 paragraph character profile and submit it with each assignment. For post count increases or OOC pirate titles, just completing an assignment is sufficient. All assignments should be written so as someone who is not very familiar with Pierce's books would be able to find them useful.


To earn a second full-status character in a leadership position, including a knight commander, archmage, and pirate commander:

-Write a history of Tortall as briefly as possible, but incorporating the history of all Tortall books, preferably with an emphasis on the political movements, but mentioning the major characters from each series and their contributions.
-Write a primer for knight etiquette including the use of titles, manners, and the code of chivalry.
-Write a detailed explanation of what happens at tournaments and how they are judged.
-Write a guide to coats of arms with reference to colors and symbols, and their meanings.

To earn your choice of 10 posts added to post count or a silly OOC pirate title:
-Make an avatar or signature for another player.
-Create a coat of arms (more info coming).
-Invite 3 new people to roleplay with you within a month.
