QUESTS

Quests are interactive Freeplaying using the random.org. This idea is based from Yu-Gi-Oh's Monster World in the Shadow Games, Season 0. Quests can be about ANYTHING. However, deaths, Pokèmon capture, and gaining items will be discarded or countered. For example, if you used a Potion, then it can be explained in the end or in your journey that you have been rewarded a Potion after doing this and that. That is countering it. To discard like having captured a Larvitar, then state at the end of the Quest or sometime in your journey having captured a Larvitar but deciding to release it or losing the Pokèmon. An explanation is just required.

Quests is the meeting place of characters and NPCs outside the journey but within the Area. The Quests from all Areas within a Zone is mixed together because all characters are allowed to join any Quests that are happening or may happen in other Areas. However, moving to a new zone is not allowed.

Quests are not dealt by Fates or by Authors, but are dealt by the Personas. It's just like the ORACLE ZONE FATES (sister-board of OZ). Anyone may begin a topic however topic starters are the 'Master Persona'. Master Persona are like the Authors of the topic, but they make uses of random dices to determine the events.

Keeping something from the Quest
If you wish to keep something from a Quest, approach your Evaluation topic and asked the finished Quest to be evaluated and what specific thing you want and why. If the performance is enough (with some questions from the Master Persona), it might be granted.

Master Persona - how it works
In times of certain events like battles and climatic situations, dices are use to decide. If it was a situation, the Master Persona will list down possible situations. There is a maximum of 6, and a minimum of 2. For example,

1. The blacksmith will be destroyed
2. The blacksmith will be saved
3. The blacksmith will be destroyed along with the townspeople
4. The blacksmith will be saved on the expense of one of the characters*

The Master Persona rolls 1 die and whatever number hits is the result. If it was 5 or 6 since there are no matching situations, the die is rolled again.

There are times when the result will lead to another. Check number 4, the one with asterisk. The result says the blacksmith will be saved but at the expense of one of the characters, so the Master Persona makes a list of the characters who are likely to die and the die is rolled to decide who dies, or who would be seriously injured. Killed or seriously injured is another decision the die can make.

Battles are less complicated, but it makes use of 3 dices and 2-coin flipper this time. The first die is the amount of strength of that attack (1 as the highest), the second die is the likelihood it would hit (1 again as the highest) and the third is the ability to attack again. If the 3rd die is twice as higher than the 2nd die, the character's Pokèmon can attack again (the greater the difference, the more stronger the character's Pokèmon can attack again). If ever the third die is two times higher than the second die, the Persona makes the decision whether to use it or not. The damage and success rate is the same.

The Persona who attacked will choose (optional) "Do It" or "The Hell With It" at the post the Persona wishes to declare an attack. the Master Person then flips the 2 coins. If the coins are different, ignore the coins. If the coins are the same and was the choice the Persona said earlier, it becomes a CRITICAL HIT. If it was the opposite, all numbers become zero.

Eg. "Do It" was the Persona's decision.

First die: 5
Second die: 2
Third die: 5

Succession rate is very high and 5 is rather neutral so an Ember, for example, attack can go naturally and hit without failure regardless of perhaps a single or two increase of evasion/speed of the enemy. The third die is two times higher than the second die so the Pokèmon can attack again with Ember with the same stats. The Master Persona can end the post now and the Personas continue. Whoever owns the Pokèmon can decide whether to attack or not (the strength would be 5 and the success hit is 2). It can be used to even counter attacks and seeing the success hit, it would definitely work.

Inactive Persona
The Master Persona is given the right to control the Persona

Inactive Master Persona
The topic is abandoned until the Master Persona returns

Post Order
The post order may get confusing, but it's mostly the Master Persona's decision. The Master Persona can also control sometimes the characters to haste things up.

HUNTING QUEST

What is the meat in the Pokèmon world? Pokèmon! However, the topic of humans being carnivorous are a bit of a taboo although not like religion and homosexuality so there are rules to follow.

A Hunting Quest is also a Quest, which means you have to first find the suitable place. It would be better to actually know some knowledge of such place, like asking NPCs. Also, there is an unlikely chance you can hunt anything when in civilization.

When you get inside the Hunting Grounds, you have to make sure that you're in the right time of the day. From the information you would get, you will know when the Pokèmon appear. Sometimes they only appear during day, or in a specific time, and sometimes no one is present in the day or night, or that specific time either.

Here are the rules in the Hunting Grounds:
  1. The Oracle Guide must be LEVEL 2
  2. You are not allowed to kill any Pokèmon
  3. You are not allowed to directly confront and attack it
  4. Pokèmon can only use their "Hunting Moves"
  5. You are not allowed to capture the Pokèmon
  6. You do not gain any sort of experience, but the Pokèmon can earn happiness
  7. You can only take out one Pokèmon at a time
  8. No Legendaries allowed
  9. Fishing rods and other equipments are allowed
  10. Use of official hunting equipments are fine. You can injure the Pokèmon but killing it is still not allowed
  11. Losing or getting equipments or items destroyed is not the responsibility of anyone but yourself :p
The objective is not to "hunt it down" but to make it come to you. You must set traps and capture it, not using a Pokeball. You can't use Revive either when you kill a Pokèmon off.

Use the environment to your advantage. Getting seen by Pokèmon will get them running away from

BERRY QUEST

Patches are all over the different Areas. They can be seen in the Area as pinned topic. When permitted, the character can get in the patch. When not planting or taking care of the patch, the character is moderated normally. When planting or taking care of the patch, the character Freeplay with whatever situation had gone/is happening. The berry patch is sometimes 'update' by the Journey or Berry Patch Fates. Based on your Freeplays, you will be rewarded with good fortune.

There is a set weather. You can view the Weather in the outside of the subforum where the Quests are posted. The Weather there is not the Weather for all quests, but the Weather for the Berry Patch in all Areas in the Zone.

Example,
QUOTE
Fates: A Nincada digs underground, sipping through the roots of the full-grown berries.

Member: She looked around, wondering if she could plant the seed she found in her E-Box. Seeing the fresh soil, she dug a small hole with her bear hands. Her nails were long and were now filthy and dirty but she could use the pail she also found in the E-Box. She tested it first, unsure how she got it (noticing some new items and missing old ones too.) but she found it there was unlimited water in it. She tried drinking from it. It didn't taste good.

Once there was a hole, she tucked in gently the Oran Seed and pushed the castle of soil. She took the pail in the shape of a Feraligator and watered it. Carefully, she checked how much water. It was extremely sunny so she figured the seed would love a lot of water. After that, she sat on the ground and rested. Not too soon did she feel something moving underneath her.

"Huh?" She looked around and noticed antennas from the ground. Without thinking, she pulled it up like a magician pulling a Buneary from a hat but it was no Buneary but a Nincada. We blinked at each other for a moment.

When you would stop is up to you, but it's best to stop somewhere. It's not a story you're writing after all. If the Fates did not feel like it was enough to give you results, you are allowed to multi-post again, resuming. Stopping also gives others who would like to enter a chance to join in the patch.

Getting Permission To Enter a Berry Patch
You would have to see signs of the Berry Patch. Sometimes, you would go there, or the Fates would direct you there. Your journey is still open if you are only planting or taking care of the patch. However, your journey is closed if you are simply passing by, Roleplaying as normal and picking up berries since you won't be Freeplaying anyway.

Entering a Berry Patch
Once you have the permission, you can simply jump in. Take time to read through the posts however. If the topic goes too long, Fates would put a summary to make it easier for newcomers.

What to do...?
You can either pick the berries up or just resume roleplaying, or you can plant and take care of the berries, which you would be freeplaying. If you don't freeplay, you cannot and will not be updated, if it was the latter, you can still RP in your journey.

The best thing to do when you Freeplay is to make use of whatever has been posted in the patch you are posting in.
