Allright, I say that escaping from the navy should get him a good bounty, enough to get known, though if I remember Sakotsu defeated an general or something and got away so he got like 17 million, maybe Draiken should get in between 10-15 million?

Um... a very robin hood-esque escape but he didn't really do anything bad. To be honest Dra-Hi probably warrants a bounty more since his crew actually killed navy soldiers, and I'm assuming here, escaped. I think it comes down to why the Navy wants him rather than actually escaping the navy because all of us had to do it at one point and caused more damage in the process... *cough*Koske destroyed two battle ships*end cough* unsure.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif. However, from how it was written it seems as if someone has a personal vendetta for him, or rather the drake pirates. In which case I believe 30 - 50 million is a good number, but I wouldn't put it beyond that. I say 30 to 50 simply for the fact that whom ever placed such a bounty has to know he's a rookie captain, the navy is on his ass, and he has no where to go but the grandline, and with a 50 million bounty DEAD...or alive nearly ensured to be wiped out; perhaps even having a few of those elite hunters seeking out an easy target. This again is if there's a personal vendetta otherwise I'd say no more than 5 million for escaping. I mean Luffy netted what from escaping? Smoker on his ass... although bad, nothing really to do with his bounty. He didn't kill anyone, let alone beat anyone important enough to gauge his strength in more than just running away. Although I really have no reason why it shouldn't be 10 or 15 or more I just thought 5 kinda matched the love story-ness to the post and 50 is my own sick little mind at work. Anyway there's my two cents.... Uh, can I get my change? tongue.gif

I agree with timezten that my escape hasn't really warranted a high bounty (and here, I was thinking along the lines of a couple thousand, not several million).

Also, from timezten's post, this seems to show that there was a lack of information throughout my topic that keeps things ambiguous. I'll post a topic later today with a fuller explanation about the Drake pirates to clarify some of this.

PS: Drakes are related to dragons but not really. They're often much smaller. Point is that the nickname in the topic title doesn't really match.

well that's why, although you're a drake, you're powerful enough to be a dragon, I can give you any nickname you want, I don't mind.

I'd say B1.5 mill, I find it hard to believe the marines'd give less than 1 million to a pirate captain's name, even if he's almost unknown, but I also find it hard to think you'd be worth much; the escape caused no real damage, and showing you can take out a few nameless marine's doesn't put much fear in people. Realistically the bounty I'd say would be a formality, if a pirate escapes the noose (though I've always seen executions in one piece as a beheading just for point) then you kinda have to charge a bounty. Certainly no more than 5 mill as Timezy-boy said, I'm just putting my thought to the exact figure. Considering that that's half of the bounty on Alvida (pre-Sube, I don't know if she has a new one, but doubt it) it's understandably small. My thought are that a few thousand would be nothing but a stunt to give random people bounties; maybe to be able to say the entire crew has a bounty, eg. chopper's B50 laughing-stock, or maybe just to get some blabbering mayor off their back.

Oh and to justify my point of a few thousand being pointless, we've seen high street label clothing fly for a few hundred thousand, and the gucci classic/ghost midnight equivalent wouldn't be on the high-street, so we can't call it that. We've got to think of B100,000 translating to ~$150, B1.5M = ~$2250; the sort of thing worthy of a pirate who undoubtedly has a crew to guard him; you wouldn't go against a pirate crew (sloops (like the sunny size), and they're small, would probs be around 100 compliment, larger ships would be much more) for less than a grand no? so I'd say you're talking atleast B700,000.
