The three styles
Handed down from Mikado of UG Himself, there is a standardized trifecta of ways you can roleplay- This is just for reference, you can only use T1 on a forum.
TIER ONE FIGHTING: Forum fights Oh, the exhilaration of watching a fight unfold at your leisure- Tier one is the style you would use on a forum, It can be used in a few different ways. One would be the simple order-based, say you have 5 people in the topic. You would decide amongst yourselves, or perhaps in the order of whom joined which order you post in, to simulate contiguous time, so everyone would act and react to each other's posts in order.
However, another useage is simply winging it. Replying to the people interacting with you rather than in a given order- This can be used to speed up the RP, But just remember in doing so, the people not involved with this exchange will be left in the dust.
Use either you wish.
TIER TWO FIGHTING: Speed fights
This is a fighting style for instant messagers. Why IMs specifically, you ask? Because it has a far more complex system than T1 than can only be implemented with quick posting.
An attack attempt: Needs a minimum of 7 words An attack connection: Needs a minimum of 7 words A block: Needs a minimum of 10 words A counter: Needs a minimum of 17 words A coup de grace: Needs a minimum of 15 words
Each player has 3 hit points in T2, or more depending on the fight. Just remember these cliffnotes: An attempt flows into a connection or coup de grace (if enemy has low health) A block goes in between an attempt and a connection, stopping the block from connecting. So does a counter, but it actually deals a damage back to the enemy.
TIER THREE FIGHTING: Pussy fights
This is a totally nooby style, like you'd see on MG Or something. Basically *slaps* Is T3. It's shitty. Don't do it, also don't do drugs.
