~General Rules~, Read this on how to act...

General Rules

• Don't be rude to the staff or other members. It's just no fun when people are rude.
• Keep all posts appropriate for people under 18. That includes no swearing and no discussions of TV shows, movies, video games, etc. rated R or M.
• No discussions of ROM's or emulators, and no links to them. It is against Invisionfree's Terms of Service.
• Please do not spam (Spread Pointless Annoying Messages). It wastes people's time, and it wastes space on the board. You may reply to old topics in the discussion and help forums, but the reply must be relevant and add to the discussion. For example, bringing back an old topic just to say "lol" or "I agree" is spam.
• Don't double post in a topic if you don't have a good reason for it.
• Each member can have no more than 1 active account at a time. If you want to change your name, an administrator can do that for you so you don't have to sign up with a new account.
• You may change your username up to 4 times in one year.
• Do not ask to become a staff member. I will usually ask for applications when I feel that Nightmare Void needs more moderators. On rare occasions I'll make Mod Applications.
• Do not act like a staff member if you are not one (for example, telling someone they will be warned, banned, etc. especially if that was your only reason for posting on that topic.) You can, however, politely point out something that someone has done wrong, or help them with a question if you know the answer.
• Use common sense.
  
  Journeying/Battling
• If you are in a battle with a wild pokemon or a pokemon trainer, you are never allowed to decide when its over.. The staff member who replies to your journey will decide when and how it ends. The same sort of thing goes for catching Pokémon. The staff member replying to your topic will decide whether you catch it or not. On another note, please make it rather difficult for someone ot capture a pokemon. Of course if its a Master Ball, it is a different strory. Check out other people's topics for examples if you're unsure what to do.
• When posting in the RPG section, only reply to your own journey. Only mods and admins can reply to another member's journey. Any replies you make to anyone else's journey is counted as spam, even if they asked you to do it.
• You must visit the routes/towns in order, and you can't be in 2 places at once. For example, you can't visit Darkcross City until you're finished in Toxic Woods (meaning a staff member has told you that you can move on). The only exception to this is the PokeEgg Gym. Even though you battle there, it's not counted as a part of your journey. So you could be in Sacred Forest and at the Egg Gym at the same time.
• You may also use a pokemon's natural moves, or in other words, moves that the pokemon learns by level. You can only learn four moves though.
• To make this clear (since there's been some confusion), Pokémon can use all egg moves, and also all TM/HM moves of their respective type.
• Your Pokémon will get confused if you ask it to do 2 moves or more.
• The staff member moderating your journey will allow you to move on to the next area once your journey reaches 5 pages.
• Depending on what the mod says, you may or may not be allowed to capture a pokemon that has fainted.
• Try to catch other member's or trainer's Pokémon, and you'll be called a thief. And that's not good at all.
• Try not to push it with strong moves, if your Pokémon is at a low level, it will tire out. Mods please enforce this law, or members will win their battles too easily.
• All posts must contain about three sentences. The reason I ask for this is because people need to learn how to become more literate in typing.
• You are also required to have a link to your profile and your journey in your signature in order to get a reply.
• If you do not get a reply to your journey (or RPG profile) for at least 48 hours, you may PM a staff member for a reply. Please ask politely, there is no need to be rude. If you are rude, then the mod is allowed to not update you until you show a better attitude. Don't forget about the Update Center, for you can updated there as well. If the Update Center and pms don't work out, you are allowed to post in the cbox for an update.
  
  Journeying/Battling for Staff to Read
• Mods are allowed to give out shinies, while Admins and I are allowed to give out legendaries. While I, the owner can give out Shiny Legendaries.
• Make sure to keep the Pokémon around the suited level experience as the trainer.
• Members are allowed to find as many items as possible. Of course, please don't make it so easy.
• Only let the member move on if their journey has reached 5 pages.
• DO NOT show favorism, no matter what! Don't even show it to me, especially if you only do it just to kiss up.
  
  

Signatures

Your signature must not be larger than 625 pixels wide and 300 pixels high. There is a picture attached at the bottom of this post to show that size.

Music, flash and Java codes may not be placed in your signature.

Advertisements

The only places you can advertise your site are in the Hot Spot sub-forum in the General Talk forum, your signature, and as the link in your name in the ChatBox. Advertising by PM is spam. (However, you may send someone a link by PM if they asked for it.)

Any sites you advertise must not contain adult content or links to ROM's/emulators.

ChatBox Rules

If you're wondering what the ChatBox is, it's that little black box at the bottom of the board.

Please don't post more than 4 times in it at once, if you don't have a good reason for it. It's called flooding.

You may advertise in the ChatBox, but only by clicking on the link in your name.

Please don't ask for updates in the ChatBox. The Update Center is the place for that. You may only ask for updates after trying the pm and Update Center method, but don't flood the place asking for a reply.

Make sure you have fun! Feel free to talk about anything you like. If you don't have fun, I'll come for you.
