Personality: As the type of person who may just grow up to be a cynical old woman living with twenty cats, she is not the type to initiate any sort of discussion with strangers, even if she did have question. Selah would just wait for some advice from her double. Anyone that she calls a “friend” gets the same treatment as a mere acquaintance, the only difference would be the fact that she asks those people questions. For her, trusting anyone is insane, which obviously does not include her Doppelganger and her cat for they have proven their loyalty. She is, however, somewhat close to her family. They give her plenty of space, probably due to the fact that they did not care what she did. But Selah still sees this a sign of trust, a sign of respect, and even as a sign of love. She almost never tells them anything, but her parents are two of the few who get to see her genuine smile (though they never actually paid much notice).

Though Selah is never actually alone for her Doppelganger is always behind her, she tends to be described as almost wraith-like when she is left alone by all other forms of moving life. This is normally the times when she and her double get into a deep discussion about their future plans. It is usually the double who does most of the talking as she much more sinister and malevolent while Selah herself is just prideful and wishes to increased her intelligence to a level many can only dream of reaching. Though, she too has her own hate filled thoughts whenever someone insults her intellect, her hatred is normally boosted by the mind of her double. Even without her double’s support, Selah will do almost anything to reach her goals whether it’s by the honest hardworking route or the murderous one, perhaps even a mix. Of course, there times when she chooses not the listen her double for Selah does sometimes find her shadow-self annoying, unorganized, and just getting carried away. She can usually block out her double’s advice with the fact that she is much more sensible than whatever act her double wants her to commit. The only deeds Selah would commit would be the ones that can get her something in return, not just a mere laugh over a traumatized person. During these times, her double would try to find other forms of amusement such as trying to scare the wits out of dogs or cats. However, sometimes Selah just can’t block out her double, and ends up doing the useless deeds anyway. This is usually when Selah is tired, alone, stressed, or angry. But she has to admit that she does sometime enjoy it.

It is quite clear that Selah is not the one to search for love or even flirt, but she is a bit naïve when it comes the love from her family. Her double considers this a terrible trait and wants to knock some sense into her. No matter what her double or anyone else says about her family not giving a damn about her, she just won’t believe it. Her double is just glad Selah is not the sweet and obedient daughter type. As for Selah’s other bad traits, which her double doesn’t really consider a problem, is her temper and strong pride. She absolutely hates to be called inferior or idiotic; especially from someone who had just proven her wrong. Selah had made some rather rude outbursts in the pass, giving her a not-so-perfect reputation in the classroom.

Appearance: Selah’s skin tone is pale, and her thin and lanky body is not that much different from a normal human. In fact, she looks like a pleasant person when she is not focused on anything. Her brown eyes look like large pools of murky water, and as if there was something always hiding within its depths. Some acne can be seen near the sides of her nose, but otherwise her skin is clear. Her hair is black and the length depends on how she wants it. She rarely does anything with her hair and doesn’t really care too much if it gets messy. She doesn’t normally wear many accessories except for her thin metal frame reading glasses that she always has to wear when she is in class or reading.

Selah prefers to wear loose clothes so she chose to have the sleeves of her midnight blue school robes are loose and no cape. Underneath her school robes and when she’s not wearing them, she normally wears slightly loose and thin turtleneck shirts with sleeves longer than her arms and long pants. They are usually dark colors or white. When she feels like, she wears a long black skirt with a knee-length slit. It is the only skirt she owns and she has only one dress that is long and navy. She almost never wears it though, and only got it in case she needed one. Selah almost always has a pair of short black boots on except when she feels walking around in just a pair of knee-length white socks, the only kind of socks she owns.

History: Around forty-five years ago, a Boogieman by the name of Braeden Cameo chose to go play at the house of Akiva Duscha, a witch who was eight years old at the time. However, she was no ordinary eight-year-old girl, she was born as a Doppelganger. Akiva had never reveal the existence of her doppelganger to anyone though except for Braeden Cameo and the people she despised. He had come to punish her, but she told him her secret as a sort of explanation for her mischievous deeds. Braeden did not care and went on haunting her anyways. A few years passed, and Akiva did not take too long to become unafraid by him and often bugged him when she was bored. Braeden started to take a liking to her and often join in her little terrorizing games while at the same time offering protection to her family.

Akiva was never that much interested in school, so her family and Braedon home schooled her. The two grew closer and closer until they finally fell in love. Her family was completely against it, but they got married anyways when she was about twenty-five, and had Selah four years later. Due to the state of separation from her other relatives, Selah considers her parents her only living family members. Her mother, though not normally the kind type, had enough sense to raise Selah properly. Perhaps is was due to her motherly instincts taking effect since it seem to have wear off around the time Selah had turned ten years old. Her father, as it was his job to punish naughty children, wasn’t normally home that often. But when he was, he would normally play with her since he saw much resemblance between Selah and her mother back when she was a child. Though, she and her mother had much more in common then he realized. Selah was also born a Doppelganger, though Selah had never told them or many other people for that matter. Just to the people she has to in order to get closer to her goal. But she also wasn’t aware of her mother also being a Doppelganger.

By the time she got accepted into the Nightmare Academy, her parents had grown somewhat indifferent. Her mother’s motherly instincts seem to have zapped away almost completely, while her father thought she was maturing too fast for him with her constant focus on studying. But, they both saw this a good opportunity for her and themselves so everyone was basically happy. For Selah, her acceptance raised her ambition to a new level. She saw it as a chance to test her intelligence, to raise her intelligence, and to prove her intelligence as the greatest of them all. Selah studied hard since the age of eight and studied even harder once she got into the academy. Love or friends was not something she paid much attention to, having realized six years ago that she has a long way to go before she can surpass everyone including the teachers. Giving up was not an option and never will be, even if she has to attempt drastic measures.

Pet: His name is Emil, and he is a matured Bengal cat. Emil has a gray coat with black spots and a black tail tip. His eyes are green, full of intelligence and loyalty to his owner. He tends to be rather playful and mischievous when he is happy, but will attack anyone he feels is either trying to hurt Selah or trying to take her attention away from him. Emil can almost always be found following Selah around when it is allowed, and can actually see her doppelganger without any sort of aide. Though, other dogs and cats can also see her shadow double.
