BIOGRAPHY

Nicholas Tse was born on 29th August 1980 at the Frances Hospital in Hong Kong. He caught a lot of people attention since he was the baby of a famous actor and a model. When he was 7 years old he and his family moved to Canada and Nicholas learned English. Later on when Nicholas became older he went to Phoenix and attended high school. At the same time his parents wanted divorce so they all decided to moved back to Hong Kong.

Nicholas wanted to become a singer and he went to Japan to practice for a while. When he got back he signed a contract with HK Fitto Records and became one of Hong Kong's biggest artists ever with the debut album "my attitude", in 1997. Beside of singing he also became an actor. His first movie came out in 1998 and it was called "The Prequel" Nic starred as the younger "Chan Ho Nam" from the "Young and Dangerous" movies originally played by Ekin Cheng. This movie made Nicholas even more famous. In 1999 he won an award for "The Best New pPerformer" at the 18th Hong Kong Film Award Ceremony on April 28th.

In 2002/2003 Nicholas was in a car accident. He crashed his Ferrari and in which a chauffeur for the entertainment company EEG attempted to take the blame for an accident that Tse caused¡ªwas headline news for many months. The courts handed Nicholas a guilty verdict and he spent two weeks in jail before being sentenced to 240 hours of community service. He also lost his driving lincense. At that time he also separated from his many years older girlfriend Faye Wong who also is an famous artist. There were many rumors of Nicholas having a second relationship with an actor named Cecilia Cheung. According to the accident and the rumors, Nicholas lost many fans in Hong Kong and in Mainland China.

Nicholas took a half-year off and returned back to the entertaintment circle again in March of 2003 and had a new album released "Reborn" . He got back a lot attention from both fans in Mainland China and Hong Kong. During 2004 he starred in several popular movies and had another record released.

History of Nicholas Tse:

Since a young age, Nicholas Tse had loved music and dreamt of becoming a singer. At 16, Nicholas Tse entered the industry. Due to his own talent and the particular family backgroud, many recording companies welcomed him and were ready to sign him up. Nicholas Tse decided to join Century Recording Company(?) thus starting his music career.

Besides being noticed by the recording companies, Hong Kong Commercial Radio also placed a lot of emphasis on him and invited him to be guest performer at their annual awards ceremony. His performance was well received on that day and mesmerized many audience.

The music of Nicholas Tse:

In May , 1997, Nicholas Tse released his first album “My Attitude” and immediately became Hong Kong IFPI No. 3 best selling records. Two of the albums tracks became top of the charts.

In 1999, the album “Believe” became Hong Kong IFPI No. 1 best selling records immediately two weeks after its release and was awarded platinum status.

Nic's childhood dream was to become a designer, not a singer.

His first recording company was Fitto, now is known as EEG. He decided to join this company because his father lent money from Albert Yeung----the director--- therefore he works there to pay off his father's debt.
