Looking for the pack

[Eldarwen]

Two wolves were standing by the stream.
"Where are we Euoke?" One wolf asked the other. He was slightly scraggier and had plain grey fur, save for the lighter grey markings that mixed across the darker colour. His brown eyes looked towards his companion, showing innocence in them. He had trouble understanding some things, he'd never really wanted to. Sometimes Euoke thought it was because he thought if he grew up, he'd have to face the truth, the horrible truth of their past. Euoke hated it himself.
"We're at Alory Aonew, I told you that on the way" Euoke responded to his brother as he looked around. He was a smoky grey colour, though brown and white marked his fur. His eyes were the same shade as his brothers, though they held a different look, the saddened look of his past though the most dominant look in them was a kind spark.
"We're is everyone then?" Aonew asked, like his brother he couldn't scent any other wolves nearby. Every scent there was old and most had been covered by the stench of humans, a smell that Aonew wasn't too sure about himself.
"I don't know. There should be at least two here though, that's what she told me" Euoke sighed and he paced up and down beside the stream a few times. Aonew sat down and watched his brother.

[Eldarwen]

"Maybe they're not here yet" Euoke suggested to himself as he looked around.
"But you said they would be" Aonew said in a rather confused voice as he looked to his brother.
"I thought they would, but maybe they got lost. That wolf said they hadn't been here since they were pups, they might not be completely sure of the way. We had directions though." Euoke explained to his brother. Nothing of the sentences seemed to do much in Aonew's brain though and he simply gave a few nods. "We'll just wait here. Someone will come eventually" Euoke sighed and he seated himself beside Aonew.

[Eldarwen]

A short distance from where the brothers sat silently, two more wolves arrived, racing each other to the stream. They were quite evenly matched, and arrived at the same time, the dark brown wolf of the pair skidding to a halt and giving a childish grin to her friend as she panted. A few words were exchanged before the brown wolf moved again, suddenly catching the scent of others as the wind drifted past them.
"Someone's here Myst" Khoe called to her alpha and friend as she tracked down the scent, soon her pale blue eyes caught sight of the brothers. "Two males" She added and turned to face her, waiting for Myst to approach. She was the alpha, it was her job.

[Myst]

Myst grinned back, and would have bounded forwards if she'd had enough energy. As it was, she nosed the air and padded gently towards the scent, panting slightly. Her white fur was spattered with dust and she waded through the stream to clean it off, soon spotting the two wolves up ahead.
'Hi!' she called out, leaping out of the cool water and shaking her wet fur. 'I'm Myst, Alphena. I see you've found the old packlands...' She took her eyes off of the wolves and let them wander around the scene. From here, you couldn't tell that humans had ever been to Alory.

[Eldarwen]

"I'm Euoke, this is my brother Aonew" Euoke introduced themselves as he watched Myst. "Where are the packlands now, it's just that we'd like to join your pack" He explained, he spoke rather politely for once, it was a tone that didn't usually fall across his voice for very long. Yet he knew he'd have to respect Myst if he wanted to join her pack.

[Myst]

'The new lands are back across those rocks.' Myst replied, tilting her head towards where she and Khoe had just come from. 'And yes, you may join. My friend Khoe is across the stream - she's beta.' she added, seeing her from the corner of her eye.

[Eldarwen]

Khoe had been watching the pair of them and listening to what they said to Myst.
"Nice to have others in the pack" She said with a friendly smile.
"Are you the only two then?" Euoke asked, actually quite shocked by that.
"Yeah, Myst's only just restarted the pack" Khoe explained.

[Myst]

'A pack's gotta start somewhere, 'asn't it?' Myst grinned. 'Haven't even been here a week.'

[Eldarwen]

"I suppose it has" Euoke smiled back.
"So Myst, what are we doing now?" Khoe questioned as she looked to her friend. Myst would know the options, continue the real reason they were here, or head back to show the newest members the New Alory. Euoke and Aonew probably didn't understand what other option there was than to go home, though she said nothing else.

[Myst]

Myst hesitated.
'I suppose we have to show them the packlands.' She glanced at Khoe, new at being a leader and unsure of what was expected of her. 'We can always come back later.'

[Eldarwen]

"Alright" Khoe nodded. She herself thought that would be better. There was no need for Euoke and Aonew to go to the old lands of Alory and they probably wanted to see their new home and settle down. She began to pad back, slowly so that Myst could take the lead.
Euoke followed, nudging his brother lightly as he passed, making sure he knew they were now going. Aonew rose and followed Euoke.

[Myst]

Myst hurried to the head of the small group, splashing carefully through the stream as not to get anyone more wet than needed. She would have liked to start a water fight with Khoe, but there was a time and a place for that - now wasn't the time. The packlands came into view.
'There, the border's not very clear, but just beyond those couple of boulders up there is the tundra.'

[Eldarwen]

Khoe continued to walk a little behind Myst as they neared the border, not running ahead as the young wolf would have done usually in games. She took a glance behind her, the two brothers were silent, but they walked side by side following the steps that their new alpha and beta took them across.
Euoke seemed the most interested in his surroundings, glancing around them and watching as they walked past, as if trying to learn his way around. Aonew too looked around, but he seemed to be looking just for the sake of it, a little interested in the new sights, sounds and scents. He didn't notice as they neared the borders, not even really hearing what Myst was saying. Euoke would probably remind him at some point anyway though.

[Myst]

'You can have a look around here, though I expect you've come a long way so I could take you straight to the dens if you like?' Myst asked, not turning back as she spoke to the brothers however.

[Eldarwen]

"We'll go to a den I think" Euoke responded as he looked to Myst now, taking his eyes from the lands for a moment. He could see them now actually, they must have reached the borders of the new Alory lands.
