But the Neverhood will NOT run properly in Vista for me. When I can get it to work at all, the cutscenes lag horribly. I've tried running it in compatibility mode for both setup.exe and the installation applicatio, and switching my memory to full mode, running it in 256 colours and the proper screen resolution, and so on.

I'm out of ideas. Anybody have the same problem?

Well... I know of one way.... but.... it might cost you....

....not in that way, though.

SO.... STORYTIME:

This all started when I tried to run Viva Pinata for PC on my laptop(Don't ask....). It wouldn't work for some reason that I will get to later, but I feel like telling a story right now, so... PATIENCE. Anywho, The Neverhood would have the same problem as well when I would run it on my laptop.
When I got my new PC last Christmas, Viva Pinata worked and The Neverhood didn't have that weird graphic problem.

WHY? I would say it's because of the Graphic Card. Higher-quality ones usually run for about sixty bucks, though... and Lord knows if the installation will go well. KlayWtf.gif

I tried turning off a processor, and it didn't work. And I don't know if I should go out and buy a graphics card yet, there HAS to be a way to get this game to work.

It won't even RUN now.

Oh, I remember installing The Neverhood...It was like Vista decided to hate me.
I had a friend to hack it, or it simply wouldn't work.
