I always thought he only controls her body and not her mind, which is why she can rebel, basically.

Strangely, I feel this way too. They are really close. It seems like each one of them respects the other's ability to make his/ her life a living hell. And it's not just that deep down inside they have feelings for each other, I believe that each one of them knows how the other feels. They are too close not to notice.
And there are some things that I just know they wouldn't do.

Oh, I wondered what would happen if he told her to do something impossible, or to kill herself.


Klogg- Good morning, Kleo. Today is a big day for you. Get up.
Kleo- (stands) What? (blinks) It's four in the morning!

(Klogg marches her through the Neverhood)
Kleo- Where are you taking me?

(Kleo tries to hold on to a tree, but her legs keep on walking and she's forced to let go)

Klogg- You'll see, don't worry.
(They're walking across the bridge and Klogg lowers the stairs)
Kleo- (while walking down the stairs) Klogg, listen, I'm sorry! Whatever it is, I'm sorry! I'll be better from now on!
(They reach the drain)
Klogg- (points) Jump!
Kleo- Klogg, no! (falls to her knees)
Klogg- Have you notice what's going on?
Kleo- (cries)
Klogg- You're not jumping. I knew it! Oh, am I clever!

Klogg- Survival instinct is too strong. You couldn't have follow that order. (smiles)
Kleo- (hostile) Were you sure about that?
Klogg- Erm… Quite.

Klogg- You're very ungrateful for a person that's just been freed.
Kleo- (stands up) I'm… free?

Kleo- (narrows eyes) everything I want?
Klogg- (takes a step back)
Kleo- Aaaargh! (chases Klogg)
Klogg- (running) No, wait, Kleo, I did the right thing! I set you free! (collides with the lake wall)
(Kleo grabs him…)
Klogg- please don't kill me…

Klogg- wh.. what?

(Klogg wakes up, terrified)
(Bursts into Kleo's room)
Klogg- Kleo, I had a night- I'm bored. Whatcha doing?
Kleo- Go away! I'm trying to sleep!
Klogg- Amuse me.
Kleo- (sits up and gives him a glare) Klogg, I'm tired. I have to get up early tomorrow. Please, please go away.
Klogg- Let me think about it… mmm… nope.
Kleo- Have I told you how much I hate you?
Klogg- Not in the last few hours.
Kleo- I hate you so much,
Klogg- Yes?
Kleo- that if I only could,
Klogg- Go on…
Kleo- I would torture you to death,
Klogg- Really?
Kleo- by means so despicable, you'd be sick if I told you.
Klogg- Please tell me.
(Later)
(Klogg goes back to his room, all smiling and cheerful)
Klogg- (quietly, to himself) I'll never let you go.

Actually, it started similarly to something I started writing earlier but didn't post.

Klogg: *pops into Kleo's room* Kleo! Rise and shine, sunshine!
Kleo: *rolls over on her pillow* Mrmmmph...whaddya want...it's 5 am...
Klogg: Come on! Get up!
Kleo: *rolls out of bed* *grumblegrumble*
Klogg: Come'ere! I've got something for ya!
Kleo: What...what is it?
Klogg: Come closer...
Kleo: *inches carefully closer to Klogg* Yeah?
Klogg: *shoves a pie in her face* GOTCHA!
Kleo: Can I go back to sleep now?
Klogg: No. Now you're making me another pie.

YES. Seriously, I can't believe there were people interested enough in this crap to understand it like that. THANK YOU GUYS.
At the 'living together' point it's like on the surface there's hatred, underneath that, they convince themselves that hatred is all there is, and deeper than that there's an unacknowledged sense of needing and belonging with the other. Fighting together is what they need and it's just as enjoyable as a normal 'loving' relationship.
When it moves on to the point where they're separate, Klogg's down on Idznak and Kleo's in the new free world, the subconscious needing grows and becomes more noticable until they can't deny it.
But if I can compare with Disneyfan again, it's not like they could have a long, drawn-out, romantic, "Guess what, I love you!" "Really??" "Yes, even though you're evil at heart and ugly etc!" "Oh but I'm such dirt compared to you! You can do better! You could have any man you want but you chose me, you're such a saint..." and so on until we vomit. What's fun about them is that everything's hidden and implicit, humour is the focus, not romance, and nothing ever has to be said about it.
BUT LET ME STOP TALKING ABOUT MY OTP NOW. :D;;

Seriously, who wouldn't be interested in this? I mean, I guess there's the fact that, after all, it's still just a fanpairing, but still, the relationship is brilliant. (...if someday you wanted to write a novel or something with the same concept, I can totally see it selling. I mean, there wasn't really much to the canon Klogg, basically this is is "fandom" personality. So you could apply that personality to a (possibly human) character and create a story with it.)
