Title: Save the game?

j.larsen - January 15, 2009 07:50 PM (GMT)
Hey all,

I briefly played this game as kid - and now I've found it again :D

But I have a problem:
The colours are all gone mad in the game, so I would like to restart it. But how do I save the game so I can continue? Is there a menu-screen somewhere?

Hi there, welcome! There is definitely a menu, you get there by pressing Esc during gameplay. From there you'll get Save, Load, Restart, and other options.

I'm wondering about your problem of 'colours going mad', though, because being an old game it has thrown up various problems like that. I played it on my friend's laptop with XP and after a while the colours flipped out. We didn't know how to fix it and I think it happened to go away on its own somehow. o O

Anyway, I hope the problem rights itself if you just restart. Otherwise you'll have to come back here I guess. :P

Thanks for that quick answer :D

Aw.. Thats to bad... I'm playing the game in Parallels on my Mac, and it seems like the escape key doesn't get parsed to the game :(

A same, that I can't play the best game from my childhood :(

Wait, there's a way to play the game on a Mac? :0 Could you elaborate? If it's not too much trouble.

I don't know how that even works, but it it possible to, I don't know, assign the escape function to another key? Or anything like that?

If you restart the game and it DOES fix the colours you can still have a go at playing it. Nowadays I run through the whole game in about 2 hours. Even for one continuous sitting it's hardly anything.

I can think of two ways to play the game on a Mac.

# Use CrossOver - I've never tried it though
# Or use Parallels with a Windows installation - I do it that way... Then I can run all of my essential Windows programs on my Mac :D

Well, now I did just restart the game without saving it - and it did solve the problem...
It was like the world had gone psychedelic
