Title: So...can't register at Nr. TenNapel's forum?
Kolourful - October 16, 2008 12:01 AM (GMT)
I looked for a 'register' button, but no avail.
Are they not accepting new users or something? Or am I just completely missing it.

I had a look and I can't see anything about registering either. That's weird. Their forum did just have an overhaul but I don't see why they would've left that out...
...Although personally, I think you're better off not getting involved. I still take a look as a guest sometimes but I kind of wish I hadn't ever made my account there.

Eh, maybe right. Things seem to get wierd there.

If by weird you mean uncontrollably religiously opiniated and prejudiced against anybody homosexual/socially experimental, then.... ....yeah.
I mean one time I made a reference to having a long hairstyle. For some reason they thought I was male and told me it was unhealthy for a man to have long hair. It's something they weren't used to, ooohh noooes!

Hmm, I don't think I came across any of that, but I ddin't dig very deep into the forums.

I have no problems there. Then again, I never had to deal with anything like that, soooo... I guess it depends. .____.

A, there are hidden sections for the more opinionated stuff. You have to register to see them. Most of the members there consider the forums about Doug's actual work to be the place for immature fanboys, and they only visit the misc. sections. (Yes, they did say that openly.)
B, there are MORE hidden sections for controversial material you can't see unless you stick around long enough to prove you're not a troll and get personal viewing access.
I honestly just got depressed reading those sections. There's only so many times you can hear about how gays are ruining their country or how women need to be forced to have babies because they just can't keep their legs shut.

It's probably just a personal preference. You're theistic so you're bound to feel more at ease around those guys..
The other thing is, it's basically a men's club. They talk tough and talk about acting tough, and I'm no good at interpreting that kinda stuff on the internet, to me it comes off as aggressive. But then it's not really surprising that as a female 'liberal' teenager I don't get on with a group of middle aged male Bible bashers.

Yes I'm having the same problem as you, I wonder why?
Kolourful - November 4, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
Whoa! I emailed him and got a reply. He's gotta be a busy guy, when I saw it in my inbox it brought a smile to my face.(oddly enough, I had passed over it a couple of times before because it was mixed in with a bunch of ads)

I know I know, sappy fanmail. But at least that solves the mystery. Thanks Mister T! :crown:
I sent him a 'thankyou' back and it got sent twice. *facepalm*
