Hello Nedi Forum,

we have a problem with the hp switch config backup. with the old release everything works fine. with release nedi-1.0-rc4.tgz October 24 2007 the hp config backup won't work.

if we apply the command "console terminal none" to a switch, the config backup take place. this helps not for all switches. After you apply the command you must reboot the swich. we can't reboot our 431 HP Switches.

here is a testoutput:

./nedi.pl -b -t ip.addr
12833 NIC vendor entries read.
1165 devices read from MySQL:nedi.devices
0 links (WHERE type = "S") read from MySQL:nedi.links
ip.addr added for testing
Discovery with 1 seed(s) on Tue Nov 27 13:14:16 2007
===============================================================================
Device Status Todo/Done
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ip.addr hostname i29 p2 Qc m1 a1 f9Pu 0/1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7245 nodes read from MySQL:nedi.nodes
1 IP and 8 non-IP nodes processed
0 IP and 5 IF changes detected
0 nodes have been retired.
Only testing, nothing written! at ./nedi.pl line 140.

a pakettrace shows that nedi only access the switch by snmp not by telnet?

Any ideas?

thanks marc
