Roleplay has begun, but we still do not have all the positions filled up to start our plot. For those still interested in high position spots, all deputy positions are open to audition. Please click on any of the links to the right to see where and what you need to audition.

Warrior of the Week
We do not have this award yet.

Next Gathering: To Be Decided
Next MC Meeting: To Be Decided

Season: Greenleaf
Weather: Greenleaf has always brought joy to many of the clans as the storm water runs from StormClan into the dry lands of QuakeClan. Three of the four clans do not suffer in these times. StormClan will be having a difficult time during this Greenleaf.

Name:
Dampfoot
Gender:
Tom
Age:
30 moons
Clan:
FloodClan
Rank:
Warrior (unless chosen to be Deputy, of course)

Description:
Dampfoot is a large brown tabby tom. His brown fur, striped with black, is for the most part uninterrupted by white, aside from the splash that encompasses his muzzle. His large size is formidable, and is used in conjunction with his ferocity to win. While he is built more for brute strength than agility, Dampfoot overcomes this with the other piece of his arsenal-- his long claws. Though his paws are large, the large claws still peek free even when sheathed. Because of their length, all it takes is one good swipe to turn a fight in his favor, but landing a hit is just as variable as any of his other attacks.

Personality:
Dampfoot, at first glance, appears to be a stoic individual. His fierce gaze and calculating tone cast the illusion of his 'lack of emotions'. However, it is far from true. Dampfoot places his clan before his own life, botching his own plans to ensure that none perish because of a careless mistake on his part. He protects the entire clan, including the leader, as if they were his own flesh and blood. While his headstrong attitude gets him in more trouble than it's worth, his track record is clean. His loyalty runs deep; he would give his own life to ensure another survived.

History:
Dampfoot and his two siblings were born during a storm. Their mother provided them names resembling an aspect of rain. He was given the name Dampkit, while his brother was given the name Stormkit and his sister given the name Cloudkit. Even from the start, Dampkit was the most mature of his litter. He would often try to be the voice of reason, attempting to sway his siblings from the usual kit-mischief. However, he was fairly easy to persuade to their side, and often got in trouble with them. He usually gave them an 'I-told-you-so' glare after punishment.

Upon his sixth moon, he was apprenticed and became Damppaw. He began to see his siblings less as he spent more time with his mentor, absorbing everything he could learn. When he wasn't learning, he was spending time with the elders, listening to their stories and providing for them as they needed, even if it wasn't his duty. His first real test came when the patrol he was on with his mentor and two others ran into four trespassers on FloodClan territory. His mentor urged him to stay back, but Damppaw refused. He had been trained to defend his clan, and that's what he would do. Though he was later punished for disobeying his mentor, Damppaw still felt pride in his choice-- they had been victorious.

As his fifteenth moon approached, it was decided that Damppaw was truly ready to become a warrior. Before his ceremony, he had been on a hunting patrol with his mentor. The ground was still wet from rain, and most of his underside was drenched by the time they returned. With no time to dry off, Damppaw was given the name Dampfoot, a small jest at his wet appearance. He proudly accepted the name.

Secret Word:
Please don't smile

Other:
-If not chosen as Deputy, Dampfoot will just be a Warrior.

Reply to this is you are applying for deputy in any and all clans:
At the last Gathering, your leader had a heated argument against one of the other Clan Leaders. Since that night, you have been on your guard watching and waiting for an attack. It is around moonhigh and you are beginning to doze at your position just inside the warriors den. There is a rustle and suddenly there are other scents in the area. The attack has begun!

Dampfoot's body jerked again as sleep nearly washed over him like a tide. Drowsy yellow eyes took a sweep of the other sleeping bodies within the warriors den. Everything was fine, enemies hadn't attacked. The large tabby turned his head to peer drowsily at the entrance to the den. Moonlight washed through the opening, and he could see the moon overhead though the small gaps in the bush that supported the den. With a soft exhale, Dampfoot turned his gaze back to the entrance of the warriors den. From his position, he had the entrance to the camp in his sight, but his body was still hidden.

Paranoia had become a regular response instead of sleep. It had begun to effect his behavior. More naps were taken in the daylight hours, and his nights were spent watching... waiting... but would something happen? Or, was this all just the nervous fabrication of his fears? He shook the idea from his head; it was better to be safe than sorry. Some of the clan found his paranoia to be almost too much, while others were just as alert as he was. If a battle were to come, the clan was fairly prepared.

His upper-half began to droop, and his narrow stare on the entrance blurred with darkness. Gravity, it seemed, had teamed up with his exhaustion. His head had found the soft comfort of moss when, like a gunshot, a noise pierced through the blanket of sleep.

A rustle.

Immediately, the large tom was on his feet, sleep banished instantly. He opened his jaws, inhaling, while his ears twitched and turned at every sound. Scents flooded his olfactory, and a soft hiss soon grew into a growl. He burst from the warriors den and released an angry yowl. "They have come! Rise to fight!" As the sounds of waking warriors tickled his ears, he burst toward the first invader he could scent, claws unsheathed.

FloodClan would not loose, not if he could help it.

---------------------

( I am fairly certain that I've placed this in the right spot. Any strange grammar spawns from the fact I started this right after I woke up. Bad combination. :B )
