Promotions and Demotions, Pay attention, this is important.

Alright everyone, Storm is getting sick of the total lack of effort coming form the staff, so I came up with a new little something: Whoever contributes the most content to the site will become/remain an Admin. Further down will be Mods, then staffers, etc. Last place gets banned from Mystic Wish, and yes, you can tie for last place. The deadline is going to be late March, maybe late April, and there will be a running tally with posts every week stating who is in the lead for what position. Dungeon Rulers and Members, as they are not staff, are not required to participate and will not be banned for not contributing, but this is a great opportunity to get a promotion into the staff! The ban rule only counts for Admins, Moderators, and Staffers, with dead last place being banned, and demotions all around for the unmotivated slackers. I mean, hey, if you want to just post here and not run the risk of being banned, then send me a PM and you can be made a member or a Dungeon Ruler, and that will be that, no hard feelings. If you want to be staff, then contribute content to the site. It's that simple. Any questions, ask here. Discuss if you wish. Good Evening.

If we want to revive Mystic Wish, I recommend we take a look at a forum that focuses on intelligent conversation, something the creator believes relates directly to the current and future health of the forum. I've showed Waveien, and she agrees. Make sure to read the rules. Kinda important.

Ideas for forum revival that come from this forum include enforcement against small posts; people have to think about what they want to say. I'm not saying we should take upon ourselves the creator's FULL ideals (for example, he hates randomness), but to become better.

So we have to concentrate on the site! besides, it's the part I pay for.

Hmm...forgive me for seeming cynical, but I'm not sure a staff member deserves to be banned for lack of activity. I wasn't able to spot a rule about that during my cursory glance over them. Wouldn't a permanent demotion to member be slightly less over-the-top?
Plus, what would happen if all staff members were very active? At least one of them would have to come last, due to the laws of reality. Due to the fact that this would mean they're very active anyway, would they be let off the hook?

With regards to increasing activity in this place...the only advice I can give are the reasons that I'm not very active here. The first reason is because this place is far too...well, it lacks seriousness. I respect the fact that it's supposed to be a jokey forum, but it's so much so that it really puts me off. For example, I love roleplaying but I can never find any RPs that don't go down the line of needless comedy.

However, I'm sure that's just my opinion.

The second reason is more petty than anything, but I thought maybe you'd like to know anyway, just in case; this forum changes its 'theme/obsession' so often that I find it difficult to keep track XD Now it's Yu-Gi-Oh, is it? I seem to remember it was (still is?) Wobbuffet, Phoenix Wright, Star Wars...yeah, as was mentioned above, it's all very random. Too random for me. That's not to say I can't see the fun in flexibility.

Well, those are my thoughts on the matter! What do you think?

Is srs bzns a forum title? If it is, I can't see it XD

And yeah, I know I could do that if I started an RP...but I've started one too many on other forums - it'd be nice to follow someone else's more serious RP for once But those're people's preferences here, I guess.

Yeah, at least that's something, heh.

Perhaps we should move it as a more main forum instead of a sub-forum at least? So people don't have to go looking for it? I mean, I know it's in the rules, but I think it would be more visited if people can make it a one-click stop.

Ok, Not trying to be mean or anything, but my main concern is the fact that in this forum, everything is so random. When you try to start a serious discussion, even in Srs Bzns, you get those people that have no clue what there talking about and basically just looking for a slap in the face. I have seen quite a lot of nonsense being written in the Srs Bzns thread. I'm tired that no one can see when they're wrong. It amazes me how stupid people can actually be. I know that I for one, can be very idiotic at times, but not so much as to the extent of a lot of others I know of.

Storm... you are a great web mistress, I just don't see this happening if you shoot down everything that your not seeing yourself. most of the members here can't hold a well educated conversation without causing some sort of joke. Actually I for one have been working on that. The younger members I can understand, but there are several teenagers/adults on this forum that are not the best for keeping a conversation.

I really don't want to hurt anyone in my post so if I offended anyone I deeply apologize.

Well if I can't see a problem it's the moderators' jobs to pull through and get things settled. They don't have to ask my permission before making a move. I wish they WOULDNT come to me for every little thing. The site is shared, it is not dominated by only me.

Another concern, though, for the last time, please talk about the SITE, the forum will cool itself off when the site makes big time.

Actually I said "I wasn't able to spot a rule about that during my cursory glance over them." Not to mention, I was looking for another rule at that time....also, in my experience, Rule pages aren't usually where forums are listed.

I think XYZ has a point - there may be a link to it, but the title 'General Stuff' seems to have an obvious meaning, and someone like me may feel there's no need to read the description. Not a single place I've been to has had a 'General Area' which is different to this one, and the link to the subforum doesn't stick out as much as a separate forum would, even if you did read the description Though merely the title 'Srs Bzns' kinda suggests sarcasm to me, lol. That might explain why not everyone takes it seriously. It could also help to just add a note 'Here's a link to the subforum:'. Y'know?

Lastly, please talk about the site? You mean like advertise it?
