Pirates of the Galaxy: The Curse of the Black Hole, Space Pirates!

"A quarter turn starboard. Increase upward trajectory by 10%, Mr. Quimbly."
"Aye, Captain."
"Where is that cabin boy?"
"Oy, 'e's down in 'is bunk, sleepin', Captain."
"Get him up here, Morrol."
"Aye, Captain."

Garou lay sleeping in his hammock, snoring loudly. Suddenly he was hit by a book.
"Wake up, boy. Captain wants yeh."
"Ugh, you could at least not throw books, Morrol," Garou said, rubbing his shoulder where the book hit.
"Aye, I could...But what fun is tha' now, eh? Now put on yer pants and get to Captain. C'mon, c'mon...Quickstep." Morrol left and went back up the steps towards the deck.
Garou climbed out of his hammock and slipped into a pair of black pants. He pulled a black leather vest off the wall and put it on, then scurried up the steps.

"You called Captain Bloodmoon?"
"Aye, Garou...The brig is empty, and needs to be cleaned."
"Empty? What happened to Lawson?"
"He was jettisoned this morning."
"Oh...okay."
"Get to it, lad."

Garou unlocked the vault that was known as the brig. He picked up his mop and bucket and walked inside. It seemed clean enough, but Captain Bloodmoon was picky, so Garou slopped the mop about over every surface, including the metal bed and toilet...Suddenly the ship shook, and Garou slipped and fell to the ground.
"What the hell?" He tried to scramble to the door, but in doing so he only slipped again. Another try and he made it up and out.

"Shift 80% power to central thrusters!" Captain Bloodmoon yelled to his crew, most of whom were scrambling to get into position. The ship rocked again.
"We're hit in port thrusters! Losing power, Captain!"
"Turn us 50 degrees to port! Get those guns firing, Sanders!"
"The guns are jammed, Captain!"
"Damn it all!" The ship rocked again, as Garou came up from below.
"What's going on, Captain?"
"Everyone evacuate! To the escape pods. The Marauder is going down," the Captain called.
Garou made to leave, but turned as he saw the Captain standing still, staring out the window.
"Captain, come on!"
"Nay, lad. The Captain goes down with his ship. You're a good lad, Garou. I would not have any other cabin boy."
"Thank you, Captain..."
"Now go. Before they launch all the escape shuttles."

Garou made his way down to the escape zone. He arrived in time to see the crew launch the large shuttle and blast into space.
"No! Wait!" Garou called, but it was too late. He frantically looked around. A single pod, big enough for one person, lay opened, and Garou took a moment to thank every higher being in the universe before climbing in. He strapped the buckles and pressed the launch button. The hatch closed and the small pod launched into space. Garou looked back as his home for the past seventeen years, Bloodmoon's Marauder, exploded into millions of bits. A tear shed from his eye as Garou realized that the only father-figure he had ever known in seventeen years was gone. And now Garou was flying through deep space, destination unknown...

Back on Earth, on a desert island not far from the exploding ship, Raven wondered around in a ripped tanktop and short denim shorts. One of her companions strolled up next to her.
"Quel était cela?" asked her french companion, Jean-Pierre (JP for short). Raven looked around for her other campion, Marie, her french to english translator. Marie appeared from behind a few coconut trees.
"He asked vat vas that noise," Marie said, ripping apart a coconut.
"Not sure. Ship blew up maybe?" Raven said, staring out into the open sea. JP looked at Marie.
"Elle ne sait pas. Le bateau explosant peut-être," Marie said.
"We should teach him English," Raven said, turning to look at the two.
"I try but 'e's impossible." Marie said. Raven looked back out to sea. A blurry black and white flag appeared over the horizon.
"Uh oh..." she said.
"Vat?"
"Captain Morgan's on the run again." Raven ran back into the trees to the middle of the island. JP looked at Marie confused.
"Morgan de capitaine!!" Marie said, running after Raven. JP looked at the black flag getting closer. His eyes got wide as he ran after the girls.

Garou's getaway ship entered the Earth's atmosphere, and he could feel the insides getting warm. The ship wasn't adjusting to the atmosphere like it was supposed to, so it began to burn up on the outside...Garou began to feel light-headed, and then the next thing he knew...

KRASH-KERSPLOOSH!

To anyone in the area, they would see a small rocket-shaped object crash into an old-fashioned pirate ship. The heat from shuttle created a giant mushroom cloud of steam when it hit the water...

Garou kicked out the door, and the shuttle began to fill with water. He quickly pushed his way out and swam to the surface. It was hard to see in all the steam, but he easily found a wooden raft and crawled on. Eventually he drifted out of the steam, and he could see the wreckage caused by his ship.
"Oops," he said. He turned and looked the other way. The tide was drifting him towards an island.
Once I get to that island, Garou thought, I'm gonna figure out a way to get revenge on whoever destroyed my Captain's ship...
He laid his head down and the rolling of the ocean rocked him to sleep...

The trio heard the explosion and ran back to the edge of the island. They saw the mushroom cloud and gawked.
"Morgan de capitaine, il est allé finalement!!" JP shouted in excitement.
"I dunno if 'e's actually gone," Marie said.
"Do you see that?" Raven asked, pointing to a floating piec of wood with a figure laying upon it.
"Vat is it?"
"We'll find out when it gets here. Tell JP to keep watch." Raven said, wondering back into the trees.
"Empêcher d'entrer un regard, approuver?" Marie said. JP nodded. He perched himself up on a boulder and waited for the thing to drift to shore while Marie ran after Raven.

The waters were rough, close to the shore. Garou awoke as the raft tossed and turned on the hectic waters. Then the raft hit some rocks, and Garou flew through the air, landing in the sand, his muzzle buried. He lifted his head and sneezed out the sand...

"Bonjour, monsieur," JP said as he looked down at Garou. "Quel est votre nom?"

Garou stared up at the mysterious stranger.
"Oh God, I've landed in France...Eh, Quimbly taught me some of this...Let's see." Garou moved into a cross-legged seated position. "Ehm...J'ai un porc...dans mon pantalon? Vous aime le...lait?"

"Non, non, non. Er... je m'appelle Jean-Pierre. Tu s'appelle....?" JP said, making hand motions to get Garou to understand to say his name. Marie ran from the trees and stopped next to JP.
"Arrêter d'interroger notre invité!!" Marie yelled. "Do you speak english?" she asked the newcomer.

"Oh, thank God, someone who I can understand," Garou said. "Where am I?"

"Dunno. We've been 'ere quite some time. And I'm sorry about JP. 'e refuses to learn english. Says its like turning against the French or something. Anyway, my name's Marie. Do you 'ave a name?" she asked, blocking the sun from her eyes.

"Garou. My name's Garou. It's actually of French origin, but I don't have a bit of French blood in me...So, no way of getting off this little island?"

[SapphireDragon]

"Raven's been tryin to figure that one out for days, months probably. She claims we'll be 'ere for a while," Marie said, looking at JP. "Aller le Raven de découverte. Maintenant!" JP scrambled off the rock and disappeared into the trees. "So, what brings you 'ere?"

"My ship of space pirates was attacked...and destroyed," Garou said, looking down at his feet. "I don't know where the rest of the crew is. Hopefully they ended up somewhere less...desolate." He looked up, then grinned. "But I'm not too worried. Lycan's are a tough breed. They'll be fine. I wish I could say the same for Bloodmoon..." His face lost its grin.

"Your ship vas attacked? Would that happend to be the one that just randomly exploded?" Marie asked. JP came out of the trees, followed by Raven. "Raven, 'e's from the exploding ship." Raven looked at him.
"How's that possible? It had to have been blown to pieces," Raven said.

"Eh...well...the one in the ocean was my fault...or more my escape ships fault...But the one in space...I don't know who caused that one, but the crew got out in time...Wait, you heard the one in space? How? Sound doesn't travel through space," Garou said...

[SapphireDragon]

Raven shrugged.
"Maybe it was something that exploded down here. Or maybe you weren't truely in space," she said, crossing her arms. JP went over to Garou.
"Quel âge vous sont? D'où êtes-vous venu? Que faites-vous pour un habiter? Le quel est aime dans l'espace? Je toujours ai rêvé d'est astronaute," JP said.
"JP, arrêter cela!" Marie said, pushing him away from Garou. "Sorry 'bout 'im. 'e vants to know 'ow old you are, vere you came from, vat you do for a living and vat's it like in space. 'e's always dreamt of being an astronaut," Marie said. "No pressure." She winked at him.

"Er...sure, no problem," Garou said. "I'm seventeen. I've been raised my entire life on the Marauder...That was our ship...I was the, uh...cabin boy... I basically did the lame jobs nobody else wanted to do, but I've always wanted to be labeled an offical space pirate..." Garou said. "Space is amazing. So vast, and so many galaxies to explore. I've been to 23 different ones in my life so far...And they're all so different, but each with a hint of familiarity...Like here." Garou began to pace around on the sand. "There's an entire planet where all it is is one island, and the rest is water..."

Marie turned to JP and translated everything to english for him.
"Sounds like a roaring life," Raven said, sitting on the boulder. "Looks like you're stuck here though. For a while anyway. I'm working on a project to build a boat that will float and atleast get us off this island. Hopefully there's something or someone out there that can help when we get out of here."
Marie and JP had gotten into a heated french discussion about which is better: apple pie or peach pie.

"Mmh..." Garou looked out to the open sea. "Well, it's endless like space...Wait, you're working on something?" He turned to Raven. "A boat? We can go out to the wreckage and salvage parts and I can build us a shuttle! I learned from the mechanic on the Marauder!!"

"Are you serious?! What are we waiting for?!" Raven said, heading for the water. Marie looked at Raven.
"Vere are you going?" she asked.
"He said he could build a shuttle and we need to get some parts from the ship out there," Raven said.
"Oh! Vell go on then!"
"Let's go, Garou. Time's wastin'!"

"You're not thinking of swimming out there are you? Those pieces are heavy. We'll probably have to build it out there on the water..." Garou said, heading down towards the water.

[SapphireDragon]

"Well shit," Raven said, putting her hands on her hips. "How are we gonna do this then?"

"Well..." Garou looked around. "We need something big enough for all of us to float on...Wait, there! That raft that I came in on..." Garou ran over to the raft. "Of course, this one's only big enough for two, but we can make two trips." Garou smiled.
Suddenly, something else came shooting out of the sky. Another small pod. Garou looked up as it roared through the sky, and came down on what appeared to be the opposite side of the island. The island shook with the collision.

Once the island settled down, smoke was seen rising above the trees.
"What the hell..." Raven said, heading towards the trees. "Let's go check it out." She disappeared and Marie and JP soon followed.

Garou ran along with them.
"That ship had the same symbols as the one that attacked the Marauder! They must be looking for survivors..."

Smoke emanated from the capsule. Whoever was inside kicked out the door, and water poured out. A fin-like hand wrapped around the edge of the doorway, then next appeared the head, sharkish in its features. The being breathed heavily, not accustomed to oxygen. It struggled to tap a device on its neck, and once it achieved so, it began breathing normal. It rolled out of the pod and onto the ground. Sitting with its back against the pod, it looked to the sky.
"Grrh..Didn't think I'd get out alive," he said. After a moments rest, he stood and walked away from the wreckage.
