"Matt, you almost got yourself killed. Not to mention you almost damaged the Excelsior Drive in M.A.V.I.C. (Multiple Alteration Vehicle with Information Communicatations)
I WOULD APPRECIATE NOT HAVING ANY PARTS TERMINATED, MATT, a computer voice came from the dash of the vehicle, male, with a slight English accent.
"But I didn't damage anything. So like I said, that went well."
"Just get M.A.V.I.C. back to Agency HQ and make sure that supply of Chemical 40 is given to Brick and Colin down in the labs for research. Caruso wants to see you when you get back, too."
"Will do, Lori. Galen out." The audio connection terminated. "It'll sure be nice for a bit of down-time, eh, M.A.V.I.C.? Seems like we've been getting quite a few missions lately."
SEVEN IN THE PAST MONTH, the voice said. ALL RELATING TO MIKHAIL INDUSTRIES. I WOULDN'T EXPECT DOWN-TIME TO BE LONG.
"True. I wonder what ol' Allister Mikhail is up to...If we could just pinpoint his base for once..."

"Yeah, yeah...Let's just get home. D'you mind going Auto-Drive? I need some sleep. I've got two big exams tomorrow."

"Y'know, that whole 'I'm-a-super-genious-car-that-knows-everything-about-you' thing is really getting annoying. Just get us home." Matt climbed into the backseat as M.A.V.I.C. took over control.

High up in the black night sky a figure glides, dark gold eyes surveying the busy freeway below. Sharp hearing picking up a conversation between the target and a mechanical voice...
HE'S NOT AT THE TOP OF OUR LISTS FOR BEING EASY TO FIND, HMM.
"Yeah, yeah...Let's just get home. D'you mind going Auto-Drive? I need some sleep. I've got two big exams tomorrow."

"Y'know, that whole 'I'm-a-super-genious-car-that-knows-everything-about-you' thing is really getting annoying. Just get us home."...
A smirk spread across shadowed features, sharp teeth flashing briefly. Another night of surveillance and soon a move would be made. Then, Agent Matt Galen would be old news, just another missing person on the morning announcements.
The figure continued shadowing the car, pondering all the new information gleaned from the nights watch. Yes, a move could be made easily come light or perhaps it would be wise to wait for the next night...

Kharash walked out of secret spy base on one of his usual nightly strolls. Most just assumed that he went out to find some blood so noone really bothered him. Kharash walked the confusing path from the base to the city streets. once out there he took a deep breath and exhailed. He took a quick glance around and saw a few late night eyes looking at him and his unusual style of dressing. Kharash walked slowly down the street and found a open alleyway free of bums. A few curious rats looked out from their trashcans but other then that it was completely empty. Kharash put his foot against a wall and quickly jumped and put his other foot on it. He started to calmly and slowly walk up the wall to the roof top.
"Such a grand night from a stroll." He said to himself still defying all laws of gravity.
Kharash held on his hat to make sure it wouldn't fall off and land in something unpleasent. Once at the roof top her pulled out his rapier and scan the skies, once spotting a large dark figure he pulled out a lighter and started to signal at it, hoping he'd see the flashs from his blade.

M.A.V.I.C. pulled up towards the location of the agent headquarters, disguised in the city as a corporate building. M.A.V.I.C. communicated technologically with an identification device, and the door opened to the headquarters garage.

WAKE UP, MATT, said M.A.V.I.C. Matt stirred slowly, awakening in the lower level of the high security parking garage. CARUSO IS WAITING FOR YOU.
"Mmemenh," Matt mumbled, opening the door and sliding out of M.A.V.I.C. He reached over to the passenger seat to carry the case of Chemical 40 to the labs. "G'night M.A.V.I.C."
GOODNIGHT MATT, the car said before all his lights dimmed to sleep mode.
Matt entered the elevator and spoke a voice command, "Level 13, Labs." The elevator activated and began to lift.

Soko glided from one side of the room to the other, in his white lab coat, poring things here and mixing things there. Soko turned to his lab assistants, "alight goggles on!" he mixed some bright green liquid with a red and blue liquid. everyone took a step back, or two. The substance bubbled then as the elevator door went ding, it exploded.

The elevator doors opened to a room full of smoke. Matt coughed as it flooded the elevator, and fumbled towards the nearest table. He set the case of Chemical 40 down. Suddenly a fan came on, sucking the smoke into the ceiling vents. Matt looked over to see Colin over by the emergency release lever.
"Nice job, Soko. Brick, start analyzing the properties of the Chemical 40 to see what uses it has," Matt. He coughed one more time.

"sorry Matt, working on some new explosive chemicals, trying to make something even better than nitro gliserine." Soko looked at the case, "So whats this new chemical 40 stuff you brought me, Matt?"

Golden eyes picked up a spark of light atop one of the millions of dark city buildings. A low rumble vibrated throughout a large ribcage, another smile spread across dark features. banking slightly, and slowly circling toward the flashes of reflecting blade, the shadow landed. Large wings fanning for leverage, then dropped. A large, nine-foot mass seemed to shrink into itself.
"You have news?" A rumbling growl of a voice asked. Dark features melded with the dark night. Light from the small flame glinted eyes of gold and shadowed tendrils of black hair.

"I don't know, that's your job," Matt said. "Lori just told me that Mikhail was working on something big, and we needed to get our hands on it. Just don't waste all of it. It was hard enough getting that one case..."

"hm alright matt, better get to studying, heard you got some big exam." Soko picked up the cased and immediately handed it to a college, "hey help me analyze this." it was his favorite assistant.

"not really." Kharash said putting his rapier away, "They found some chemical.... Chemical fourty is what they're calling it. Not sure exactly what it does but I think Boss may want to know about it. And I was hopeing you'd have some news about his project."

"My God, does everyone in the agency know my class schedule?" Matt asked as he went back to the elevator. He issued another voice command. "Level 42, Caruso." The doors closed and the metal cube rose again.

Another rumble sounded from the figure, this one smaller in comparison to the one before due to his change in size. "Well done... I'll report that at the next appointment." eyes narrow and the form takes a step closer into the light. A dark face comes into view, eyes shadowed. Black dreadlocks twining naturally down behind shoulders equally dark. "They have no suspicion of you?"

"I doubt it. I have given them absolutely no reason to suspect me of any treason." Kharash said, "They think I come out at this time is to find a victim to drink from..... but sometimes I think about telling them just to see the utter chaos it would bring to them. But of course I'm not going to, this is much more fun."

Kharash chuckled a little, "Its odd that they havn't thought of a double agent seeing how the boss just seems to know every since move they make."

Light glinted off a flash of white teeth and another rumbling chuckle. "True, that would be amusing to see... but you know the boss would have both our hides..." another flash of white "Though I doubt he would catch me" The man shook his head, dreadlocks shifting. "Keep a low profile though, it would not be wise to blow your cover."

"Rizer you think I would be stupid enough to make a human mistake?" Kharash asked, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing once the boss' big project is all wrapped up I'll wait for my signal and start destroying them from the inside while you and the boss take care of the outside." Kharash grinned, showing that his left fang, was a lot different then his right, as it couldn't go back into his mouth but was constantly extended.

Matt rubbed his eyes (true story guys) as the elevator slowed to a stop. The doors slid open easily, revealing the double-high ceiling of Caruso's office. His walls were decorated with expensive paintings from around the world and spanning various stages of the artistic timeline. A large oak desk stood in the center of the large room, where a man sat waiting. He was fit and athletic, dressed in a fine suit. He stood as Matt approached, running a hand through his dark hair as he rose.

"Matt. Welcome back."
"Anything wrong, boss?"
"Well, I didn't have Lori tell you before but - Oh, excellent job recovering the Chemical 40, by the way."
"Thank you. What didn't Lori tell me?"
"Well, first off, I have my concerns that after the past few months of interference, Mikhail might begin targeting you soon. Being an elite agent that you are, I would have no trouble having faith in you."
"But? Boss, what's the problem?"
"Knowing Mikhail, he won't have just any ordinary assassin. He'll use a Mythic-level operative. As good as you are, I don't think you can handle something like that alone. So I'm assigning Agent Enzo as your personal guard." A large Lycan came down from the ceiling, landing beside Caruso. Matt was unphased by his entrance. "He'll watch over you in the event you are attacked at any point away from HQ. You're to check in with him whenever you leave."
"You're giving me a baby-sitter?"
Caruso ignored him and continued on.
"Also, we have a new recruit. Here is the file. First thing in the morning, you are to meet with them tomorrow morning, 0600, in the training room. Now get to bed. You have exams tomorrow."
Matt snatched the folder from Caruso and stormed off back to the elevator. He issued commands for it to take him to the apartment level.

"Kharash, I doubt the boss will do this himself... he's probably going to hire more thugs that I'll have to supervise and babysit." Rizer folded arms over his chest, dreadlocks shifting again. "This is a mess to go through for what I want... maybe I'll up my demand... he can't expect me to go through that without proper pay."

Matt walked down the hall of his residence floor, coming soon to his door. Swiping his wristband by the scanner, his door unlocked and he went in. He opened the folder taking a single look at the name: Sabrina Salcido. He threw the file down on a desk, and without undressing threw himself at the soft bed, falling asleep almost as he hit the bed...

"now don't get to greedy Rizer. I'm sure there are those who are just as capable and willing to do it for less." Kharash said, "But your right...... I mean I'm getting paid a fair amount due to the nature of my mission. If my cover is blown I highly doubt I'd make it out of there in one piece."
Kharash walked to the edge of the building, "And its to high for me to make a safe landing too..... I have to play my pair very carefully, like a game of shoji and all you have left is your king, each move must be carefully selected."

Rizer snorted, then winced as a burning liquid stung his lip. Spitting the mistake from his mouth to land sizzling on the roof, he grinned. "I'm not getting greedy. Besides, it is not as if I'm asking for money." He shook his head, hair swinging. "And I agree, your in a very precarious position."

"Oh and what are you asking for Rizer?" Kharash asked, "or is it something to personal or embarassing to say?"

Rizer shook his head and chuckled "No, none of that. What I'm looking for is easy to come by, though the more powerful comes from the higher ups." he grinned "I'm sure you have heard Knowledge is power?" unblinking golden eyes studied the vampire in red.

"Knowledge.... why bother working like this for something like that?" Kharash asked looking over his shoulder at Rizer, "Seeing how long your kind live I'm sure you gain all you need and more."

Rizer's eyes glinted "Oh, but that's the beauty of it. There is always more to learn. Always more to figure out... pieces to fit together." another flash of white in the dark. "The longer you live the more there is to see... I'm sure you of all creatures would understand that."
