MC Radio V2

Name of Code: MC Radio
Description: MC Radio has a whole bunch of Radio stations you can listen to. I will be adding more on so come back to this thread often.

What you need to know when for adding the code:
-How to make a catagory
-How to make a Forum

Now for installing the code...


Step 1:
-Log in to the Admin CP.
-Make a new catagory called MC Radio
-Make sure the catagory is visible
-Now click Create This Catagory.

Step 2:
-Create a new forum.
-Add Forum to Catagory: MC Radio
-Set the forum state to Active.
-Make the forum name be MC Radio
-Leave the description blank.
-Ingnor these boxes:
---Root Forum Option: allow posting in this forum?
---Forum Redirect Options
---Postable Forum Options
-Now set the Permissions to whatever you want them to be.
-Press Create This Forum.

Step 3:
-Go to Manage Forums and click on the yellow triangle for the Rules for MC Radio.
-Where is says Display Method put Show Link Only.
-For the Rules title, put this:

-For the Rules Text put this in:

-Now click Edit Forum Rules.
Step 4:
-Now go to the forum you created called MC Radio
-Go inside it and you should see a link called MC Radio where the rules are.
-Click on it and copy the URL for it. You will need to remember this so I will call it MC Radio Link.

Step 5:
-Go to your Board Wrappers and put this about the <%Board%> tag:

Where this is at:

Replace the Red with your MC Radio Link I told you to remember earlyer.

-Now press Edit Forum Rules.

Step 5:
-Go back to Manage Forums.
-Find the MC Radio catagory you made and set the catagory to Hidden from forum list-can access via url if known

Your Finally done!!!

Maybe you could make it so all the use has to do is include a javascript file and add a few lines to it. Wouldnt it be alot easier? They could just do something like this:

and the first time the person put it on it will check if the person has any station selected. If not then it will do a document.write and put some instructions. It will list all of the stations possible and then you you tell them what to do with it. So then they have this:

etc.. and whatever else you needed. Then you find the div where this is supposed to go and do a few ifs to see what radio station the person wants. Store all of the html in a variable called like html_content then do this: div.innerHTML = html_content;. That way the person doesnt really have to do so much and has more room. How about it?
